Players to Watch
France: Franck Ribery
The Bayern Munich midfielder hasn't been in top form in international play, but France will likely control much of the possession in England's half.
Ribery will be important working down the wing and making things happen for Les Bleus.
England: Danny Welbeck
Wayne Rooney is out for England's first two games, and someone will have to fill in for the Manchester United striker.
How about the "other" United striker?
Welbeck has been an impressive goal scorer whenever he gets time on the pitch, and he'll likely get a few good opportunities on the counter-attack for England.
Ukraine: Andriy Shevchenko
If the hosts have any chance of advancing from this group, the veteran Shevchenko will have to be in top form.
He's 35 years old, yes, but he remains Ukraine's most consistent goal scorer. The Dynamo Kyiv striker must break Sweden's shaky back line.
Sweden: Zlatan Ibrahimovic
For the Swedes, it's Ibra, and then everyone else. However, that's not a slight to Sweden's role players; it's just a nod to how good Ibrahimovic can be.
In 77 caps, the 6'5" captain has scored an amazing 31 goals for country. As long as he's in form, he'll provide some truly amazing plays.
And if he does that, Sweden will win.
Predictions
France 1-1 England
Without Rooney, don't be surprised if England just drops back and plays to not lose, simply looking to take advantage on the counter-attack when possible.
Should they do that, France will get plenty of opportunities at goal, even if they aren't great looks. Les Bleus will finish one of those, but Danny Welbeck will also slot one on the break.
Ukraine 1-2 Sweden
The co-hosts will keep it close for a while, but Ibra, who has already scored three international goals in 2012, will simply be the best player on the pitch in this one.
He'll score both for the Swedes in the win.
