Giancarlo Stanton Has Caught Fire with Ridiculous May
March and April were not kind to Giancarlo Stanton, or the Miami Marlins for that matter.
In 21 games in those two months, Stanton hit just .247/.286/.342 with one home run, nine RBI and 20 strikeouts. His power numbers dissipated, Stanton was dropped to sixth in the lineup on April 17.
Stanton has undergone a revival of sorts, posting absolutely ridiculous numbers this month.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Prior to Monday night's action, Stanton owns a .327/.416/.724 line with 10 home runs, 25 RBI and nine doubles in May.
Many of those home runs have been moonshots, including a shot off of the auxiliary scoreboard in left field, a shot off the Budweiser Bar in left-center field and a shot off the home run sculpture in center.
The biggest home run of them all, though, was the walk-off grand slam he hit on Mother's Day.
Stanton attributes his turnaround to his getting back into a normal routine that he abandoned after missing most of spring training.
Former Marlin Jeff Conine pointed out to Stanton in April that he was no longer taking the ball to right field in batting practice, which he had done in the past.
Needless to say, it seems as if that routine is paying off.
Cumulatively on the season, Stanton is hitting .292/.363/.561 with 11 home runs and 34 RBI.
