Newest Inductee In The WWE's Hall of Fame: The Most Deserving in My Book!
The past month we have seen B/R writers talk about who they would want to see go into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. Of course we've had various answers. Some say The Rock, others say "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
Some have even said Ultimate Warrior, if you can believe it. But one man seemed to be on everyone's list. And that was Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat. It seems he is so loved by fans, and he seemed to be the first karate style wrestler we ever saw in wrestling.
Before Steve Blackman, RVD, Kung Fu Naki, and CM Punk, there was Ricky Steamboat. The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer is reporting that he will be the newest inductee in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
We already have heard that Stone Cold Steve Austin will be in, and now Steamboat is a part of the list. We have not seen much of Steamboat since his retirement. We saw him last year at Wrestlemania.
But that was the last time I believe he was on WWE TV. He may have been at a few shows now and again though in the crowd or backstage. But, he still looks like he could go out and wrestle.
The former world champion is deserving and many thought he would be in way before now. But it seemed all of the WWE forgot about him. Luckily, the fans who loved watching him didn't.
I remember seeing his matches when he would come of the top rope and hit his opponents right where they needed to be hit. He was so fluid in his wrestling. Now, he was not the most technical wrestler out there, but he was good at what he did.
He is sort of like the WWE's Jeff Hardy, he does what he is good at which is high-flying, arial moves. Steamboat did what brought him to the dance, along with a few other things he developed to his game over the years.
I remember watching him in WCW when he faced Ric Flair, they went back and forth in their matches. All of his fights seemed to be classics. But the Flair/Steamboat matches were great to watch every time.
He was a great in-ring psychologist that made you want to watch him in every match he was in. He could lose and you would still be happy because he gave you a great match, something many superstars can't pull off right now.
There is word that Flair would induct him in to the Hall, but Flair has also been asked by Austin to induct him too. So, we will have to see what will go on with that.
But in any case, congratulations Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, the newest inductee to the WWE Hall of Fame. Announcements for all inductees will be announced on WWE PPV No Way Out, and after, leading up to Wrestlemania 25.
