WWE Smackdown Spoilers: Spoiler-Included Preview of This Week's Show (April 27)
As Wade Barrett might say, the winds of change are coming through on Friday Night SmackDown.
Although most of the show centers around the same five or six top stars, a lot of alterations have been made to the blue brand since John Laurinaitis became the GM of the show after WrestleMania 28.
Alberto Del Rio is now a SmackDown star, three FCW stars have made their main roster debuts on Friday nights and the Primetime Players have helped beef up the show's tag team division.
There are plenty of new faces on Smackdown, and we've gotten some mixed results from them so far.
But how will these guys perform on the show this week?
Let's take a look with my spoiler-included preview of this Friday's episode of Smackdown.
Note: As always, I will include the full set of spoilers and then discuss three things I think I will like and three things I think I will dislike about the show.

Dislike: Another Damien Sandow Vignette
2 of 7In 2010, I remember the constant barrage of Alberto Del Rio promos we got before he actually debuted, and the longer they dragged on, the less interested I became in seeing them.
Then, what happened? ADR finally debuted, and he did so with a bang.
The promos didn't do Del Rio any justice, and he was a lot better and a lot more interesting (at that time) than his promos made him out to be.
Fast forward to today, and we continue to get these weird vignettes from Damien Sandow that you need a thesaurus to translate.
I think the gimmick has potential and that Sandow does too, but another vignette/promo on this week's SmackDown?
Come on. I think we've seen enough.
Put Sandow in the ring already, and let the man actually wrestle.
Like: Limited Time for the Kane/Orton Feud
3 of 7I know it seems like I'm beating a dead horse, but I've absolutely despised this feud between Kane and Randy Orton so far.
The good news? We don't get much from them on this week's Smackdown.
It looks like Kane won't even appear on the show at all, while Orton simply cuts a short promo and then levels Jinder Mahal with an RKO.
That's exactly how it should be. This feud has been screwed up so badly that nothing is going to save it now.
Just cut your losses with this feud, WWE. It's definitely time to move on to something that's actually, you know, exciting.
Dislike: The Lack of Buildup for Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan
4 of 7Judging by these spoilers, not much is going to happen between Daniel Bryan and Sheamus on this week's Smackdown.
The interaction is, instead, between Bryan and Alberto Del Rio, and it seems as if ADR is pushing his shot at winning the World Heavyweight title more than the WWE is pushing this Bryan/Sheamus feud.
While Bryan has been great over the last couple of months, the running theme seems to be that his relationship with AJ and the popularity of his "Yes!" chants are taking priority over his rivalry with Sheamus.
Unfortunately, it looks like that will continue on this week's Smackdown as well.
I really wish ADR would have just become the No. 1 contender after Extreme Rules because the fact that he has a World title shot down the road has kinda overshadowed Sheamus vs. Bryan.
This feud a had a ton of potential, but it has been pretty mediocre overall.
Like: The Continued Attempt to Rebuild the Tag Team Divison
5 of 7The Primetime Players will take on Ezekiel Jackson and Yoshi Tatsu on this week's Smackdown, and that will mark the third straight Smackdown episode in which we see a tag team match featuring an actual tag team.
Whoa. It's like the WWE is actually beginning to care about tag team wrestling for a change.
While I know that the WWE Tag Team Champions are still booked like crap and that not everyone is crazy about this O'Neil/Young duo, at least it's a start.
We always talk about how much we want to see the rejuvenation of tag team wrestling, and seeing tag matches on three straight Smackdown shows is a good sign that the WWE may be attempting to make it more of a priority.
Even if the ride doesn't last long, I'm going to enjoy it while I can.
Dislike: The Great Khali Beating Cody Rhodes
6 of 7Is this a joke? The Great Khali over Cody Rhodes?
The WWE creative team makes a lot of questionable decisions, but this is just absolutely ridiculous.
Under no circumstances at any point should Khali ever beat Rhodes. I don't care if Big Show interferes and distracts Rhodes or not—it shouldn't happen.
If the WWE wants to know why it has such a hard time creating new stars, then look no further than this.
The Great Khali sucks and has no business even being in the ring at this point, so it's inexplicable that he would actually beat one of the WWE's brightest young stars in Rhodes.
Man, this is infuriating.
Like: Antonio Cesaro vs. Tyson Kidd
7 of 7Now this is something that I can get used to.
In recent years, Smackdown has been the WWE's wrestling-heavy show, and it's a matchup like Tyson Kidd vs. Antonio Cesaro that makes me tune in every week.
Kidd is, at least in my view, one of the WWE's most underrated performers, while Cesaro (a.k.a. former ROH star Claudio Castagnoli) is one hell of a wrestler as well.
While I have no doubt that Kidd is just there to take a loss to Cesaro, I'm not going to complain about a potentially great match between two excellent wrestlers.
I'm really excited about Cesaro's debut on the main roster, but I'm even more excited about his first match.
