WWE Tough Enough Winner Andy Levine Should Have Won the Competition

Justin WatryJun 7, 2018

Well, the wrestling world is off to a nice start to the week. We already have a huge Raw show tonight, and Brock Lesnar will be there live.

However, the big news of the day came to us all from PWInsider.com a few hours ago. It seems as if WWE has released Andy Levine today from his contract.

Some will know him as Kevin Hackman. Most will know him as Andy Levine, the winner of last year's Tough Enough competition.

While he did grab some attention after winning, nothing ever materialized. A few months later, he even failed a Wellness test and was suspended for 30 days.

Needless to say, the man's career in WWE never got off the ground. He had a few chances, and it never worked out well for him.

On the topic of him reportedly being released today, I am going to choose to believe this story. While some "exclusives" are laughable, others are very accurate.

This one definitely seems logical.

As with most events, many fans are already going back in time. It is not "fantasy booking," but some are, of course, questioning whether Andy should have won the Tough Enough season in the first place.

In my mind, that should not even be up for discussion.

Levine was the (rightful) winner when the show started. He deserved to win at the halfway point, and Stone Cold made the correct move in June when he announced Big Andy as the winner.

Nobody will believe this, but he was my pick from the beginning. He had a past wrestling, was built well, had long hair (yes, that matters) and he had a previous relationship with the company.

I am not sure how anybody but Andy was projected to get the contract.

Other will cry and whine for Luke Robinson to win. That is fine. Everybody has their opinions as to who has a bright future in this business.

All you have to do is follow him on Twitter (I don't) to know why he is nowhere near WWE right now. I rest my case on that.

Other than that, others had no personality. Other great young talents never stood out from the group, while the rest were injured.

Andy was the best choice then, just as he was now.

As with most competitions, the winner never really means much. A.J. Kirsch had a match on Superstars last summer and was eliminated late from Tough Enough.

One girl is currently signed in FCW (injured on Tough Enough) and Cameron is currently on television every week with Brodus Clay. She, also, was eliminated from Tough Enough.

Most already know this, but The Miz lost his season of Tough Enough. Laughably, John Morrison won his season. We all saw how their futures went in this business.

The list of "losers" from Tough Enough is endless: Matt Morgan, ODB, Kharma, Boogeyman and many more.

The "winners" also don't make a very memorable list.

In the end, I am going to choose not to pretend there is a time machine and say "what if" on yet another WWE situation. The right man won last year, and that is exactly how I felt then and now...
