WrestleMania 28: Brock Lesnar Should Be the Man to Break the Undertaker's Streak
There has been a lot made about whether anyone will ever break The Undertaker's streak, after his monumental performance against Triple H at WrestleMania 28. He could conceivably ride into the sunset and everyone would call him one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.
But what does wrestling stand to gain if The Undertaker retires with his streak intact?
I said after WrestleMania 28 that The Undertaker has the pure star power to single-handedly boost the WWE. I proposed him potentially losing to an underdog up-and-comer and completely changing the WWE landscape. Any young gun who defeated The Undertaker would instantly be thrust into stardom as the villain everybody loves to hate.

But after Brock Lesnar's return to the WWE, let me propose something else: Brock Lesnar defeating The Undertaker in a triumphant return.
Everyone was focused on Lesnar's F-5 on John Cena on Monday. But when Lesnar walked into the ring, I honestly wasn't thinking of Lesnar vs. Cena at all. That's because a dream matchup was dancing around in my head. After all the talk of The Undertaker's performance, I instantly saw Lesnar going toe-to-toe with him in what could be a monumental event for the WWE.
There have been rumors of Lesnar fighting The Undertaker throughout the years. There was a bit of bad blood between the two in October 2010, when Lesnar was confronted by The Undertaker after his loss to Cain Velasquez at UFC 121. Talking to MMA Fighting.com's Ariel Helwani, Lesnar said that a "mutual friend" relayed some things The Undertaker said about him, and his rebuttal may have made its way to the Undertaker that fateful day. Lesnar then challenged The Undertaker to leave wrestling and meet him in the Octagon.
Lesnar said, "Mark (Calaway) ain't got a shot in hell. If he wanted to make the transition against me, I'm up for it."
This is almost too good to pass up. We have bad blood and we have two powerhouses in the WWE's history. It would be one of the great comebacks in pro wrestling's history if Lesnar defeated The Undertaker.
Since Lesnar's return, my stance has changed. Forget about a young up-and-comer ending The Undertaker's streak. Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker has the potential to be one of the great matches in pro wrestling's history.
