With WrestleMania 28 just over a week away, the excitement for WWE’s biggest show is starting to fill the hearts of all the members of the WWE Universe.

The Best
WrestleMania III - March 29, 1987
With arguably the deepest card in the history of the WWE, WrestleMania III is the event that put the WWE and the WrestleMania PPV on the map.
While everyone remembers the Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant slam and the Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat battle, there were stars all over this card.
With wrestling legends such as Harley Race, Roddy Piper, the Hart Foundation, British Bulldogs and the Honky Tonk Man, there may be no better wrestling show in the history of the business than WrestleMania III.
The Worst
WrestleMania XI - April 2, 1995
Whenever the main event of a PPV is the celebrity and a wrestler, the show will never be held as a mainstream success. Such was the problem when Bam Bam Bigelow squared off with New York Giants legend Lawrence Taylor. Yuck.
While the night saw new champions named (Razor Ramon won the IC belt and Owen Hart and Yokozuna won the tag straps). It also saw a co-main event of Diesel vs. Shawn Michaels that was lackluster at best.
Add in Bret Hart in a forgettable match against Bob Backlund and Undertaker and King Kong Bundy in a terrible match and you have the worst WrestleMania in history. This is what WWE wants to avoid at all costs.
Where WrestleMania 28 Will Land
WrestleMania XXVIII - April 1, 2012
With an amazing card and the WWE actually putting plenty of build behind this event, the wrestling is business is in store for what could be a top-5 WrestleMania ever.
Everyone cares about The Rock vs. John Cena, and the Triple H vs. Undertaker match with Shawn Michaels as the ref is an Attitude Era fan's dream. Add in matches with Chris Jericho, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and Sheamus and the WWE has a great event planned.
If Vince McMahon and the WWE staff can get the rest of the card to be just mediocre enough for fans not to be disgusted by it, the quality of the big four matches is enough to warrant a top five ranking.
Let’s wait and see if they screw it up, though.
