Lakers Rumors: Ramon Sessions Wouldn't Solve LA's PG Problems
The Los Angeles Lakers need help at the point guard position. Ramon Sessions has been on the trading block, so he seems like a natural fit.
According to Sam Amico of FOX Sports Ohio, the Lakers are going to be in touch with the Cleveland Cavaliers a lot over the next four days.
"In case you missed it ... Lakers likely to "accelerate" pursuit of Cavs' Ramon Sessions over All-Star break, says Western Conference source.

It is no secret the Steve Blake-Derek Fisher tag team the Lakers have been employing at the point is not getting the job done. They are averaging 12 points, six assists and four rebounds, which would be good for one player but not both of them.
Sessions has not had a banner year with the Cavaliers. He is shooting just 38 percent from the field and has always been more effective in a part-time role than as a starter.
The Lakers want to take Sessions away from the Cavaliers, insert him into this offense right away and expect him to be the answer to all their problems. Just the idea that the Lakers would be going after Sessions as hard as they are reported to proves how desperate they are.
He is going to have to learn a new offense under Mike Brown, make sure he is setting up Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum for high-percentage shots and make a basket when he decides to stop and pop.
As a stop-gap player to add more depth to the roster, Sessions would be a perfect fit for the Lakers. But as a starter asked to set up the offense, he is not the player that will put them over the top in the Western Conference.
