Alabama Football Recruiting 2013: The Crimson Tide's Way Too Early Wish List
The Tide will keep at it this year, as they'll enter the fall as a likely preseason topfive team, the reigning national champions and also the reigning recruiting champions.
This is a juggernaut program and nothing is expected to change.
While we're still gathering a lot of various information on top names and prospects for the 2013 class, I wanted to give you 'Bama die-hards an early jump on a wish list the Tide might be checking out.
Here we go.
Already Committed: Reuben Foster, LB, Altee Tenpenny, RB & OJ Howard, TE
1 of 5Foster and Howard are two of the best players in the country for 2013, and both are already pledged to the Tide.
Foster is a 6'1", 240-pound LB that I already have marked down as the No.1 LB in the country. He's a future star in Tuscaloosa.
Tenpenny is a 6'0", 205-pound RB that has drawn comparisons to Trent Richardson, thanks to his great speed and extremely strong lower body.
Howard is a 6'5", 225-pound athletic specimen that could also play DE or LB. He would give 'Bama an elite, pass catching TE prospect that may be the best TE Nick Saban's ever signed.
4. Kendall Fuller, DB
2 of 5Kendall Fuller is a 6'0", 185-pound defensive back that could play CB in college. He's one of the most athletic players in the nation for 2013 and has elite potential.
Nick Saban is a DB coach at heart, so it's no wonder why 'Bama's secondary is always solid. Getting a player like Fuller would keep that tradition going for sure.
3. Christian Hackenburg, QB
3 of 5With Alabama missing out on Gunner Kiel and Jameis Winston last cycle, they likely will look to add a signal caller in this class. Christian Hackenburg and Johnathan McCrary have been offered already.
Hackenburg is the more classic drop back QB, while McCrary is a dynamic dual-threat type that would surely make up for the loss of Jameis Winston.
2. Laremy Tunsil, OT
4 of 5Laremy Tunsil could be a five-star OT this year. He's 6'6", 285-pounds and if you need a comparison, think D.J. Humphries.
Tunsil easily could tack on another 30-40 pounds without losing any agility, athleticism, foot quickness or mirror ability. He shows easy movement, good knee bend and has LT potential.
1. Antonio Conner, DB
5 of 5Antonio Conner is going to be a five-star prospect, I'll call that right now. He may be the best DB in the country already, as he's a 6'1", 200-pound safety that can play SS or FS.
He's going to be mentioned with the likes of Karlos Williams, Shaq Thompson and Landon Collins of the past few years.
