St. John's vs. Duke: TV Schedule, Live Stream, Spread Info and More
The Duke Blue Devils look to climb back up the rankings when they host the St. John's Red Storm this weekend.
St. John's is off to a rough start, but the Red Storm knew things weren't going to be easy because they play in the Big East. It's easily the toughest conference in college basketball, but St. John's is hoping their experience will help them against Duke.
Currently, the Blue Devils are ranked sixth in the nation with a record of 17-3. The Red Storm, on the other hand, aren't ranked at all and have an overall record of 9-11. Six of those losses have come against Big East teams.

What They're Saying
Adam Zagoria covers Big East basketball for SNY TV, and he recently quoted Moe Harkless on how this season is going and the hype he is getting.
""I’m pretty surprised about how well I’ve been playing so far," Harkless said. "It’s a tough league and I’m just going out there and playing hard. As far as the recognition, I’m not really worried about that, I’m just worried about winning games."
"
Harkless leads the Red Storm in scoring and in rebounding, but the best part about it is that he is just a freshman.
A native of Queens, Harkless is the face of St. John's right now, and his stellar play has a lot of people talking. It will be interesting to see how he handles the spotlight of facing Duke.
Steve Wiseman writes to The Herald-Sun and recently quoted Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski saying something very interesting about how he feels about his team.
"We played really well to win," Krzyzewski said. "I’m not saying we’re a great team. But we’re a good team."
This was after Duke's win over Maryland, and it goes to show that Coach K believes his team could be doing better.
While they did lose solid talent to the NBA draft this past season, the Blue Devils are still loaded with skilled players. They're in a great position to succeed this year, but Coach K thinks they could be better.
Duke has the potential to become a great team this year, but the Blue Devils will need to start playing more consistently.
St. John's Player to Watch
Moe Harkless may only be a freshman, but the kid can flat-out ball.
The 6'8" forward averages 16 points and eight rebounds per game, but after dropping 23 points and 13 rebounds in the most recent win for St. John's, his confidence is sky high as he prepares himself for Duke.
If the Red Storm want any shot at pulling the major upset over Duke, Harkless is the one that has to take over.
Duke Player to Watch
The Blue Devils have a good size advantage over St. John's, so keep an eye on Mason Plumlee.
He's 6'10" and 235 pounds, which is a good two inches taller than St. John's biggest player, God's Gift Achiuwa. He is the only big body the Red Storm have, which means Plumlee shouldn't have much trouble dominating down low.
Duke will need to give Plumlee and his brother Miles several looks in the paint because their size is a big plus in this game.
Prediction
Duke 77, St. John's 62
