Broncos vs. Patriots: Charles Barkley Astutely Shows Evil in Tim Tebow 's Win
"Tebow Mania" is plague on pop society that just keeps growing exponentially like it is a mutating lethal illness from a Hollywood scare flick.
Charles Barkley—as he so aptly does—spoke for the common man, put it in plain terms, and laid the smack down on this bewildering epidemic. And it arrives just in time.
With a shocking overtime win in which Tebow passed his way to victory over the Steelers in the Wild Card Round of the NFL playoffs, the mania has reached new heights.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
So it should come as to no surprise that the highly-visible and opinionated Charles Barkley was asked for his thoughts on the subject in a recent interview. Let's just say he is not on the hype-wagon.
Check out Chuck's comments from his interview with 97.5 the Fanatic in Philly with Mike Missanelli and transcribed by Sports Radio Interviews.
The Interview
"Barkley: The national nightmare continues. Hey listen I like Tim Tebow but there comes a point, he had a great game. He’s supposed to have a great game. They want to make it seem like oh the world is aligned correct. I’m like he does play quarterback. He is supposed to play well.
Host: So you’ve had enough of Tebow?
Barkley: I think the world has.
Host: There’s a lot of Tebow fans out there. I’ve had enough and I’m not a big Tebow guy and they’re just killing me about Tebow.
Barkley: First of all Mike I don’t know anything you said about Tebow but let’s just say the jury is still out on Tebow. He seems like a nice kid but these ups and downs are so different. The jury is still out on Tebow. Just because he had a great game and made four or five great throws yesterday doesn’t mean he’s gonna be a great starting quarterback in the NFL.
"
Barkley's Brilliance
The Chuckster's stance certainly is not unique, but that does not make it any less poignant. "The national nightmare" has nothing to do with Tebow himself, but with the people that create it.
Everything that the Broncos' young QB does is put under a magnifying glass. When he fails, his detractors come to the forefront, and this only seems to fuel his supporters to greater decibels of preaching.
In a world where sports fans can get a little nutty, Tebow's fans have a tendency to take things to another level.
Check out this latest homage to the lefty QB that struggles to throw a spiral.
This is just one sample of the delirious amount of love showered upon the QB, and it is all way over-the-top. Tebow is still a young QB with massive flaws.
He has posted some impressive wins, but he has also posted some incredibly ugly losses. He is still a developing QB not much different than other developing QBs. There are players in the league that have earned vastly higher levels of praise than Tim Tebow.
Yet, he is the one at the eye of the storm, and now—as his Broncos advance in the playoffs—we are all helpless to be nothing but victims in the endless waves of that incomprehensible storm.
