Cowboys Rumors: Dak Prescott 'Determined to Exhaust All Options' Before Surgery
As Dak Prescott continues working his way back from a hamstring injury, Dallas Cowboys fans got an update on their star quarterback.
Per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, Prescott will meet with a specialist Monday to get another opinion before deciding on whether he needs surgery, which is reportedly "the most likely outcome."
"But Prescott wants to play, sources say, and he is determined to exhaust all options before giving up on returning this season," Pelissero and Rapoport said. "He has been seeing doctors and having scans sent as the decision-making process continues."

Prescott left the Cowboys' Week 9 loss to the Atlanta Falcons with a hamstring injury, which ESPN's Todd Archer later reported was caused by part of Prescott's hamstring tendon being pulled away from the bone.
After the injury, Archer reported Prescott was facing a six-to-eight-week recovery time while noting that surgery on the injury would end his season.
During an interview with 105.3 The Fan (h/t Jon Machota of The Athletic) on Nov. 8, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said that the team was unsure if it wanted to place Prescott on the injured reserve.
"He doesn't want surgery. He wants to be on the field and go for it," Jones said. "We'll just see how it goes here."
Executive vice president Stephen Jones later indicated that he expected to place Prescott on the IR.
Before suffering the hamstring injury in Week 9, Prescott had 1,978 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions in eight games, not exactly the production Cowboys fans hoped for after his historic four-year, $240 million contract before the season.
With Prescott sidelined, Dallas is looking to Cooper Rush under center. The seventh-year player was 13-of-25 for 115 yards and an interception in relief of Prescott in a Week 9 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
