Eagles' Nick Sirianni Apologizes for Yelling at Fans in Viral Video in Win vs. Browns
Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni was feeling fiery toward his own team's fans Sunday, but he was in an apologetic mood Monday.
"I was trying to bring energy and enthusiasm yesterday, and I'm sorry for how my energy was directed at the end of the game," he told reporters. "My energy should be all in on coaching, motivating, and celebrating with our guys."
The comments come after he was seen on camera gesturing toward the fans at Lincoln Financial Field in the final seconds of the Eagles' 20-16 victory over the Cleveland Browns. He also pointed to his ear in a taunting fashion after the fans had been booing at times during the game:

To say there was an air of frustration in the building Sunday would be an understatement.
Philadelphia entered play having lost two of three since a season-opening win over the Green Bay Packers. It was also coming off a blowout loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the fans wasted no time showing their frustration by unleashing a chorus of boos during a scoreless first quarter.
Things got worse right before halftime, as Sirianni called a pass play instead of a run on 3rd-and-1 as the Eagles were driving. Jalen Hurts was sacked, which set up a 57-yard field goal attempt that Myles Garrett blocked.
Cleveland returned it for a touchdown to tie the game at 10, and, as Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports, Eagles fans chanted "Fire Nick" as the two teams headed into the locker room for halftime.
Sirianni is going to be under the spotlight throughout the season after Philadelphia's 2023 collapse. The Eagles lost five of their final six regular-season games and then were blown out by the Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round.
At least Sirianni and Eagles fans can take solace knowing they won Sunday's game amid the frustration.
A major reason for that was the return of wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, as they each scored touchdowns and delivered in key moments for an otherwise stagnant offense. If they continue to do that, perhaps Sirianni can put Sunday's moment behind him and compete for an NFC East crown.
