Derrick Henry 'Felt a Little Good' to Play Well vs. Cowboys amid Jerry Jones Comments
The Dallas Cowboys didn't pursue running back Derrick Henry in free agency this offseason despite having a glaring need at the position. On Sunday, he repaid them to the tune of 151 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the Baltimore Ravens' 28-25 win.
"I hold myself to a high standard. I definitely wanted to come out here and be able to have an impact to give us a chance to win by the way I played," he told reporters. "Being in Dallas—this is where the offseason is [for me and] where I spend most of my time in the offseason. It felt a little good today for sure."

Part of Henry's success could be credited to his diet:
After the contest, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spoke about why the team didn't try to sign Henry.
"We couldn't afford Derrick Henry," he told reporters.
"I don't know. Why can't you buy a mansion when you live in a different kind of house? We couldn't afford it," he added. "We can't make that all fit. That's as simple as that."
The Cowboys had a quiet offseason, maintaining cap space to sign players like Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb to lucrative extensions. Henry provided them with a firsthand look at what they missed out on.
