Cowboys' Micah Parsons: CeeDee Lamb 'Will Be Suiting Up' Week 1 amid Contract Holdout
Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons is confident that wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who is sitting out training camp in search of a new contract, will be playing Week 1 when their team visits the Cleveland Browns on Sept. 8.
"CeeDee is a part of this brotherhood whether he likes it or not," Parsons said Tuesday, per Cowboys.com staff writer Patrik Walker.
"He knows he's not going anywhere. The business side, they're gonna take care of it — no doubt about it. On Week 1, he will be suiting up for the Dallas Cowboys."

Parsons' comments would align with Adam Schefter of ESPN's remarks on NFL Live Monday.
"These two sides, when you talk to enough people around the league, fully expect that this deal will get done," Schefter said.
"It would be a huge upset if CeeDee Lamb is not there for the start of the regular season. I don't know whether they can bridge the differences, which aren't that much, this week or next week or the week after, but this deal is going to get done. It would be shocking and utterly stupid if it did not get done in time for the start of the regular season. So they're going to figure out a way."
It's understandable why Lamb is sitting out. Multiple star wideouts have gotten paid this offseason, including with Justin Jefferson, A.J. Brown, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. All signed contracts with average annual values ranging from $28.25 million (Waddle) to $35 million (Jefferson), per Over the Cap.
One could argue that the 25-year-old Lamb, who is entering the final year of his rookie deal, may be better than all of them. He just caught 135 passes for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns and looks prime for a long and prosperous career that could lead to a Hall of Fame call someday.
Right now, though, Lamb is in essence on a one-year deal, and he's still away from the team with the season less than one month away. Of course, things can change in the next four weeks, and Parsons is at least confident that he'll be joining the Cowboys by the time they roll into Cleveland.
