WWE Raw Winners, Live Grades, Reaction and Highlights After Sunday Night's Main Event

On the heels of Sunday Night's Main Event, where Bronson Reed returned and aided Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, and Austin Theory in laying out Oba Femi and intensifying that rivalry, WWE Raw hit the Netflix airwaves from the Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Vision Kicked Off Raw

"The Vision is complete, and we do not ask what happens around here. We decide it," Bronson Reed said as he rejoined Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, Austin Theory, and Maxxine Dupri in the ring at the top of Monday's show.

The opening promo segment saw the faction take a victory lap, with each member receiving mic time. Their celebration was cut short by the arrival of Akira Tozawa, who revealed that Theory would be competing tonight, but it would not be against the former cruiserweight and 24/7 champion.

Instead, Otis emerged, making his return after weeks away, ready to avenge a brutal assault at the hands of the reigning World Tag Team Champion.

• Reed's return and beatdown of Oba Femi was the most memorable moment of the night Sunday in Atlanta so kicking off the show with The Vision was the right call. It may have been a more effective segment had Auszilla been able to shine a bit more, but if the point was to reassert The Vision's dominance on the Raw roster, this felt like a step in the right direction.
• It is a testament to the connection Otis has with the audience that him and Tozawa remain as over as they are, even after a year-plus of losing more than they win.

Otis vs. Austin Theory

Last Time in Action: Otis and Akira Tozawa lost to Bron Breakker and Austin Theory (Raw, July 27); Theory defeated Tozawa (Raw, August 10)

Much as they did Sunday night in Atlanta, The Vision again combined to unleash hell and beat down Alpha Academy Monday night as Bronson Reed attacked Otis as he built momentum late in the match with Theory.

The result was a disqualification loss for the egotistical young competitor. Still, it mattered not, as Bron Breakker brutalized Otis with a spear, then joined his teammates in leaving Tozawa in a heap.

A pissed-off Oba Femi hit the ring, but the numbers game proved to be too much for The Ruler, who found himself on the receiving end of multiple Tsunamis and left lying for the second consecutive night.

Result

Otis defeated Theory via disqualification

• Femi hit the ring without entrance music, a rare babyface run-in without all of the bells and whistles that take away from the spontaneity of it all.
• This was the first time that the Vision felt like more than an over-hyped midcard act. They were presented as well as they have been in months and the result was a successful first quarter of the broadcast. Hopefully, the creative team can build on that momentum.

The Miz and Kit Wilson Attacked Matt Matthews

Jackie Redmon caught up with comedian Matt Matthews, in his hometown of Birmingham, only to be interrupted by The Miz.

Celebrating two decades of in-ring competition in WWE, the A-Lister took exception to the company wasting time on the celebrity guest rather than giving him airtime.

And justifiably so.

The segment turned physical, with the heels bullying Matthews and The Miz downing him with the Skull-Crushing Finale.

Money in the Bank Qualifier: Rey Mysterio vs. Ethan Page vs. Bron Breakker

Last Time In Action: Rey Mysterio lost to Chad Gable (Raw, August 17); Ethan Page lost to Dragon Lee (Raw, August 31); Bron Breakker lost to Oba Femi via DQ (Sunday Night's Main Event, September 6)

Bron Breakker continued his momentous two-night stretch, cashing his ticket to Money in the Bank in New Orleans by besting Rey Mysterio and Ethan Page in a three-way qualifying match.

He absorbed punishment at the hands of his Hall of Fame opponent, Mysterio, but recovered and tossed his opponents around the squared circle before earning the win with his trademark spear.

Mysterio is a GOAT candidate, and Page certainly deserves better than he has enjoyed to this point, but Breakker winning was the right call.
