Video: Yankees Reveal Renovated Clubhouse; Features Display of World Series Rings
The New York Yankees want players to keep the franchise's 27 World Series titles on their minds during the 2024 season.
The Yankees on Friday released video of the newly renovated Yankees clubhouse, which features a long glass case displaying the team's World Series rings.
The video also displayed a workout room, a weight room, a dining area branded as "The Pinstripe Diner," pools and ice baths, a sauna and an oxygen tank.
One wall in the clubhouse is painted with the years the Yankees have won the World Series, including the club's most recent victory in 2009.
Another is adorned with individual player records. These included Aaron Judge's 62 home runs in 2022, which set a new AL standard; Gerrit Cole's 257 strikeouts in 2022, which set the Yankees' single-season record; Mariano Rivera's all-time record of 652 career saves; Andy Pettitte's franchise-leading 2,020 career strikeouts; and Derek Jeter's 3,465 hits, the most in Yankees history.
The Yankees are off to a 13-6 start to the season, the best in the AL East. The Pinstripes are looking to make it back to the postseason in 2024 after missing them in 2023.
