Chiefs' Rashee Rice Takes 'Full Responsibility' for Car Crash, Apologizes on IG
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice announced Wednesday on his Instagram Stories that he takes "full responsibility" for his part in a car accident that took place on Saturday and was cooperating with authorities.
On Tuesday, the Associated Press reported that Rice had been leasing a Lamborghini, one of two vehicles that police said were responsible for causing a six-car accident on a Dallas' North Central Expressway.

Authorities said that the drivers of a Lamborghini and Corvette were speeding when they lost control. The Lamborghini went onto the shoulder and then hit the center median wall, leading to the six-car accident that followed. Four people suffered minor injuries in the crash.
It remains unknown if Rice was driving the Lamborghini at the time of the incident. However, attorney Kyle Coker told the AP that the contract Rice signed with The Classic Lifestyle, an exotic car rental company, stipulated that only Rice was permitted to drive the vehicle.
Per the AP, the people in both the Lamborghini and Corvette left the scene of the accident before providing anyone with their information or checking to see if anybody needed medical attention.
Chiefs president Mark Donovan said Monday during an appearance on KCMO Talk Radio's Mundo in the Morning that the team would "react accordingly" once more details emerged regarding the accident and Rice's potential involvement in it, per the AP.
"In all these situations you have to wait until you have all the facts, and frankly, we don't have all the facts at this point," he added.
Rice's attorney, Texas Senator Royce West, said Monday that his client was cooperating with authorities and would "take all necessary steps to address this situation responsibly," per the AP.
Rice, a second-round pick by the Chiefs in the 2023 NFL draft, appeared in 16 games for the team and all four playoff games during his rookie season.
