TNA Picking Through WWE's 'Future Endeavored' Is a Good Thing

Lewis NolanJun 7, 2018

There is a running joke amongst TNA haters that TNA lives off the old, discarded scraps of the WWE and would never survive if not for WWE's drug policies.

Stars such as Scott Steiner, Hulk Hogan, RVD, Jeff Hardy and other big-name talent that have had issues with drugs are always brought up, but is looking through the "Future Endeavored" such a bad thing?

The short answer is, no. But lets face it, no one is looking for the short answer on this site.

The fact of the matter is, WWE has the first choice of the best talent in the world—from the high-class, independent talent they sign to young no-name talent they nurture into some of the best in the world.

This is never going to change—unless the WWE collapses in the near future—and we all know it.

But, when you have such a plethora of talent—and a complete lack of tag team and cruiser weight divisions—some names are going to get "future endeavored" no matter how talented they are.

Names like MVP, Elijah Burke (D'Angelo Deniro), Matt Morgan, Mr. Anderson, Kaval (Low Ki), Carlito and Paul Burchill are just some of the names that come to mind.

Just look at Tyson Kidd.

This is a young wrestler who can compete at the level of anyone in the company, He can excel in a cruiser weight division, a tag team division or even as a singles wrestler if he had a manager/bodyguard.

Instead, Kidd languishes on superstars and with names like Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Damien Sandow getting called up to the main roster. Kidd getting the boot is seeming more and more likely.

If that should happen, and if TNA picks him up, I guarantee that a group of people—no matter how small a group—will complain that TNA aren't establishing their own stars and are relying on WWE castoffs.

Why can't they just be wrestlers instead of castoffs anyway?

Just because I say that TNA should pick through the "future endeavored" for new talent, it doesn't mean that TNA should sign every talent that the WWE gets rid off.

There are a lot of lemons in that group, and TNA needs to be careful in who they chose.

That being said, the fact remains that talented wrestlers slip through WWE's fingers every year, and TNA would be fools not to capitalize on some of the fantastic talent to help bolster the ranks.
