Knicks Trade Rumors: NY Eyes Jordan Clarkson, Terry Rozier, Malcolm Brogdon, Burks
The New York Knicks have reportedly shown interest in a bevy of veteran guards ahead of the Feb. 8 NBA trade deadline.
According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Knicks have "a level of interest" in Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson, Charlotte Hornets guard Terry Rozier, Portland Trail Blazers guard Malcolm Brogdon and Detroit Pistons guard Alec Burks.
The Knicks have already made one significant trade this season, as they sent R.J. Barrett, Immanuel Quickley and a second-round pick to the Toronto Raptors for OG Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa and Malachi Flynn.

With a strong nucleus of Jalen Brunson, Julius Randle and Anunoby in place, the Knicks are a solid 25-17 this season, which has them fifth in the Eastern Conference and in the mix among the contenders.
Since Anunoby made his Knicks debut on Jan. 1, New York has been one of the hottest teams in the league, going 8-2 during that stretch.
The major issue for the Knicks is the fact that they are somewhat lacking in terms of quality depth beyond their Big Three.
Donte DiVincenzo is the only other Knicks player averaging double figures in scoring this season with 11.2 points per game, and the likes of Josh Hart and Isaiah Hartenstein play their roles effectively, but there isn't much to speak of beyond them.
Any of the guards linked to New York in trade rumors would likely provide a significant spark off the bench, especially in terms of scoring.
Clarkson, 31, is averaging 17.9 points per game this season, and he was the 2020-21 NBA Sixth Man of the Year, which speaks to his comfort with coming off the bench and lighting up the scoreboard.
The 29-year-old Rozier missed some time due to injury this season, but he is otherwise enjoying a career year with 24.0 points and 6.7 assists per game in 27 appearances.
Brogdon was the 2016-17 NBA Rookie of the Year while with the Milwaukee Bucks, and he enjoyed success after trades to the Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics as well, winning the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award last season with Boston.
The 31-year-old veteran was dealt again this past offseason in a trade for Jrue Holiday, and he has continued to produce to the tune of 14.8 points, 5.1 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game for the Blazers.
Burks, 32, spent two seasons with the Knicks from 2020 through 2022 before getting traded to the Pistons in what amounted to a salary dump.
Despite averaging a shade under 20 minutes per game for a rebuilding Pistons team this season, Burks has been productive with 12.1 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest.
Per Stein, New York would likely offer the expiring contract of Evan Fournier and draft picks in a potential trade for one of the aforementioned guards.
Any of them would help replace some of the offensive punch lost by trading Barrett and Quickley, and they would make the Knicks even bigger threats to go on a deep playoff run in the East after reaching the second round last season.
