Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins and Stars Who Will Benefit Most from WWE Draft 2023
One of the biggest announcements coming out of post-WrestleMania season was of another WWE draft, this time starting Friday on SmackDown and continuing Monday on Raw.
With most storylines across both brands growing stale, it is time for several top names to switch sides and rekindle the heat lost by repetitive booking.
Fans are hoping that big stars transition from Raw to SmackDown and vice versa, giving both shows a much-needed rejuvenation heading into spring and summer.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Here are the Superstars most likely to benefit from a change of scenery in the 2023 WWE draft.
Draft Seth Rollins to SmackDown
With Jon Moxley in All Elite Wrestling, Seth Rollins has taken on the role of workhorse over the last several years for WWE, giving his heart and soul every week to fans while part-time performers come and go as they please.
Rollins deserves so much better and should be moved to SmackDown to eventually face Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Over the last several years, The Visionary has done everything asked of him; elevating younger talent, putting over fresh faces and even getting the most out of unproven names like Logan Paul.
Now should be his time to shine at the top of the card again, and what better place than on Fox with the blue brand?
With the addition of a new world title to help carry the red brand and the need for fresh feuds on SmackDown, Rollins can become a focal point every Friday night, with his versatility on full display as a heel or a face.
Swap Charlotte and Becky Lynch
One of the most interesting moves possible would call for former SmackDown women's champion Charlotte Flair to be drafted to the red brand and for former Raw women's champion Becky Lynch to move to the blue brand.
Not only would the two women being drafted to opposite brands keep them away from each other, as they have a long history and a contentious relationship, but it would also provide both women's divisions with a marquee performer who represents new feuds for the established cornerstones.
On SmackDown, Lynch would act as the perfect challenger to Rhea Ripley and her championship, all while keeping the Irish performer on the same brand as her husband, Rollins.
On the other hand, Flair would be the physical force needed to truly challenge Bianca Belair for the Raw women's title. The two Superstars would present a unique in-ring style, which could be magic.
By drafting Lynch to SmackDown and Flair to Raw, the company solves any potential personality clashes and freshens up both women's divisions, which are in dire need of a newfound focus.
Split up Damage CTRL and The Street Profits
Another major perk of the WWE draft is the ability to split up tag teams and stables without forcing the combatants to fight each other.
For The Street Profits, it is clear Montez Ford is a singles star waiting to happen, so getting him away from Angelo Dawkins as soon as possible would be best for business.
The two men could eventually feud, but splitting them up amicably would be the best course of action if both are to remain good guys.
As for Damage CTRL, the group has been an utter failure since being called up to the main roster, and WWE Creative should be ashamed that it couldn't make the stable work.
Now, it's time to let each of the women go in their own direction and showcase just how talented they are when not saddled with a gimmick and storyline destined to fail.
Whether the company is trying to keep each Superstar face or heel, splitting them up in the draft allows each team to maintain their loose alliances without force-feeding feuds the company isn't ready to book.
NXT Call-Ups
In previous years, the lack of inclusion of NXT names making the jump to the main roster has been astonishing. It is one of WWE's biggest missed opportunities every time the developmental brand isn't included.
With that said, the company has the chance to right the wrongs of the past and use the draft as a marquee way to introduce main roster fans to developmental talents like Carmelo Hayes, Bron Breakker and Tiffany Stratton.
While Hayes may be the NXT champion right now, WWE should recognise his immense value and catapult him to the main roster immediately. He can go back to NXT and lose the title by putting over another star in the making, but he is far too talented to be anywhere but Raw and SmackDown.
As for Breakker, many argue he was ready months ago for a run on the main roster, but the time is now. Whether he portrays himself as a face or a heel upon his debut, there are few talents in the company as ready for a push toward the top of the card than the former NXT champion.
No matter what he does, he looks like a blue-chip prospect prepared to make an excellent first impression.
In the women's division, Stratton is the ideal mix of in-ring ability, character development and good looks WWE loves. While she has plenty of room to develop, her presence on the main roster could provide a maniacal heel character that both divisions desperately need.
Many names from NXT could make a main roster debut soon, and the company should be using the draft to get them to Raw or SmackDown seamlessly.
