Top WrestleMania 39 Matches to Watch
Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes
Reigns will have been world champion for well over 900 days when he steps in the ring at WrestleMania 39, and it is a distinct possibility that his historic reign will be ended by Rhodes.
Ever since Rhodes made his surprise return to WWE one year ago at WrestleMania 38, he has made it clear that his main goal is to become WWE champion since it is the one accolade his Hall of Fame father, Dusty Rhodes, never achieved.
Rhodes has been built to near perfection as a babyface, winning the men's Royal Rumble match and stepping up to Reigns and The Bloodline as a whole.
No opponent has been more equipped to challenge and perhaps defeat Reigns than Rhodes, which makes the main event one of the most highly anticipated bouts in recent memory.
Along with the storyline entering the match being excellent, Reigns and Rhodes are two of the best in-ring storytellers in the entire business.
All signs point toward them putting on a five-star classic and perhaps one of the greatest matches in WrestleMania history.
Regardless of who comes out on top, Reigns vs. Rhodes should be special, and it will be a fitting way to end the biggest show of the year.
The Usos vs. Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens
It isn't often that a single storyline can support two main-event-caliber matches at WrestleMania, but that is the case this year.
While Reigns and Rhodes will be battling it out in the main event of Night 2, The Bloodline will also be fighting on another front earlier in the event when The Usos put the undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships on the line against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.
For several months, Zayn was in an alliance with The Bloodline and was even named Honorary Uce at one point, but things fell apart when he refused to brutally attack his longtime best friend in Owens.
That led to Zayn arguably becoming the hottest babyface in WWE, and there was even a great deal of fan support behind him being the one to challenge Reigns at WrestleMania.
Zayn's story has long been about more than just Reigns, though, and in many ways it has been more focused on his relationship with The Usos, and Jey in particular.
If Zayn and Owens can beat The Usos to end their record tag team title reign, it will not only be a feel-good moment, but it will be huge from a storyline perspective, as it would perhaps set the stage for Reigns' fall from grace as well.
Bianca Belair vs. Asuka
Both women's championship matches at WrestleMania promise to be highly entertaining affairs, but the Raw women's title match between Bianca Belair and Asuka is perhaps on a slightly different level.
While the build toward the match has left plenty to be desired, there is no denying the talent of Belair and Asuka as in-ring performers and the likelihood that they will deliver in a big way.
In her first two WrestleMania matches, Belair arguably competed in the best bout of the entire event, as she defeated Sasha Banks in the main event of Night 1 of WrestleMania 37 and then had a classic encounter in beating Becky Lynch last year at WrestleMania 38.
Asuka's WrestleMania resume pales in comparison despite having been around longer than The EST, which could give her plenty of incentive to put her stamp on the Showcase of the Immortals.
In the limited in-ring action they have had against each other, Belair and Asuka have showcased great chemistry, which bodes well for their title match.
Belair is quickly establishing herself as the standard bearer when it comes to performances on the WrestleMania women's stage, and there is no reason to believe she won't be up to the challenge once again at WrestleMania 39.
