McDonald's All American Game Roster 2023: Highlights, Stats for Top Prospects
The 2023 McDonald's All American Games promises to be a showcase of some of the top future collegiate stars. Since the game's inception in 1978, future NBA and WNBA stars have often been part of the action.
Basketball legends like Magic Johnson, Michael Jordon, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Candace Parker, Maya Moore and Breanna Steward are among the game's notable alumni.
Last year's boys' game featured potential 2023 first-round NBA draft picks like Dereck Lively II and Keyonte George. In 2019—the last game before a two-year hiatus because of the COVID-19 pandemic—current NBA standouts like Anthony Edwards, James Wiseman and Cole Anthony were on the court.
The next crop of men's and women's basketball stars is set to show up and show out on Tuesday. Here's everything you need to know about the 2023 McDonald's All American Games, including info on some of the top college recruits.

PG Isaiah Collier
2 of 4
Wheeler (Marietta, Georgia) point guard Isaiah Collier is the top men's recruit in 247Sports' composite rankings for the upcoming season. The 6'3", 190-pound guard and USC commit is a tremendous player who has been building a buzz for some time.
According to On3, Collier was regarded as a top recruit a year ago, before being named MVP of the Under Armour Elite 24 Camp and averaging 15.1 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.4 steals with his AAU team.
"His combination of positional size, strength, instincts, and overall feel for the game is unmatched," Adam Finkelstein of 247Sports wrote of Collier. "He sees the floor at a very high level and very literally makes the game easier for his teammates."
One of the leaders of the West team, Collier is poised to give Trojans fans a glimpse of what to expect in the not-too-distant future. He should also excite fans in attendance with high-energy plays like this one:
G Judea Watkins
3 of 4
Sierra Canyon (Los Angeles) guard Judea Watkins is the No. 1 women's college prospect, according to ESPN's HoopsGurlz recruiting rankings. Playing on the West team, Watkins will be one of the top players to watch during the girls' game—along with No. 2 prospect and West teammate Mikaylah Williams of Parkway (Louisiana).
The USC commit is a two-time gold medalist with USA Basketball, and in the 2022 FIBA World Cup, she led the U.S. team with 13.1 points per game. According to Sabreena Merchant and Ben Pickman of The Athletic, Watkins averaged 24.5 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 2.8 steals and 2.0 blocks during the 2021 season at Sierra Canyon.
".There is nothing Watkins cannot do on the basketball court," ESPN's Shane Laflin wrote. "She gets end to end about as fast as any player in the country. As a big guard (6-0), her pull-up jumper is automatic and her 3-point shot is deadly as well."
Watkins should provide more thrills for Trojans fans, and perhaps a little hope. This year, the USC women's team made the NCAA tournament for the first time since the 2013-14 season but exited in the first round.
With Watkins on the roster, USC should be ready to take more positive steps next season.
SF Justin Edwards
4 of 4
Imhotep Institute (Philadelphia) prospect Justin Edwards is the No. 2 prospect in 247Sports' composite rankings and will go against Collier as a member of the East team.
Unlike Collier and Watkins, Edwards won't be going to USC. Instead, he has committed to Kentucky, where he'll be joined by Camden (New Jersey) guard D.J. Wagner and Camden (New Jersey) center Aaron Bradshaw—247Sports' third- and fourth-ranked recruits, also on the East team.
Edwards and Wagner are both ahead of Collier in ESPN's recruiting rankings. Edwards, a 6'7", 180-pound forward, is a tremendous shooter and a versatile scorer who should provide many of the top highlights in Tuesday's boys' game.
"When Edwards is at his best, he's scoring at multiple levels, being active defensively, and showing his ability to rebound in high volume," Finklestein wrote.
Last week, Edwards tallied a game-high 19 points while leading Imhotep to a Class 5A state-title win over Exeter.
