Nnamdi Asomugha Injury: Eagles DB Carted off Field at Practice with Knee Injury
Nnamdi Asomugha being carted off the field with a knee injury at practice delivers another crushing blow to the highly disappointing Philadelphia Eagles.
A win over the New York Giants last week without Michael Vick made it seem like the now 4-6 Eagles may be able to pull off the impossible and steal away the wide-open NFC East, but a devastating injury like this one has to demoralize the already injury-plagued Eagles.
PhiladelphiaEagles.com let it be known via twitter that Asomugha sustained a knee injury and was carted to the locker room to be evaluated.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
At this point the extent of his injury is unclear, but to say that this is not how Andy Reid and the Eagles wanted their Thanksgiving to go is an understatement.
Though Asomugha hasn't had the impact the Eagles were hoping he would, he's still an elite corner and they've invested heavily in bringing him in.
They face the Patriots this week and with Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie out, they are going to have a hard enough time stopping Tom Brady's ferocious passing attack as it is.
Though they are deep at corner, Asomugha isn't replaceable. Even losing Asomugha for one game would be devastating, as the Eagles are going to need a series of miracles to jump back into the division race.
Dropping to 4-7 would put the final nail in their coffin, whereas coming one game within a .500 record would give them new life.
This is a must-win game and this injury has the power to force their defense to take a huge step backwards.
