Monday night football features two teams that are coming off of embarrassing losses to AFC West teams last week. The Eagles loss to the Raiders was the biggest surprise as the Eagles looked like huge favorites going in. However, the blitzing defense of the Raiders harassed Donovan McNabb all day long and he never got in a rhythm.

The Redskins are in complete disarray after losing a game to the Chiefs last week. They were the only team in NFL history to face a winless team in their first six games. The Redskins were so angry with the situation last week that they have stripped Jim Zorn of his play calling responsibilities. He will still be the head coach, but will no longer call the plays on offense. They are completely fed up with what is going on and are willing to try anything to make it right. Their defense is actually pretty good. Before the Chiefs game they were ranked no. 4 in the NFL in total defense. However, the offense has been anemic. Zorn tried inserting Todd Collins at quarterback last week to no avail.

On the Eagles side of the ball, expect them to come out firing. Every year, it seems like they lose to a team that they shouldn’t. Last year, they allowed the Bengals to tie them in a terrible game. This year, they let the hapless Raiders beat them. The Eagles are talented enough that they can compete for the Super Bowl if they play up to their potential. However, being talented and playing well are two different things. Expect the Eagles to show up again this week.
