On Friday The Orlando Magic sign free agent Brandon Bass, per team policy terms were not disclosed joining the defending Eastern conference Champions and adding to a bench that was looking very slim at one point.

Bass is a physical and very athletic power forward that will put some depth in that roster, Sources say that he will start at the power forward position putting Rashard Lewis back to his original position at small forward.

So now it leaves Ryan Anderson (which has been doing very well and impressing the coaching staff in the Orlando summer league) some room for playing time.

The Magic predicted starting line-up will be Jameer Nelson PG, Vince Carter SG, Rashard Lewis SF, Brandon Bass PF, Dwight Howard C, Now just maybe the Magic have moved up in the rankings according to some analyst that have been placing them 6th overall behind Cav's, Lakers, Spurs, Celtics, Nuggets.

Bass adds a good solid player to the Magic averaging 8.5 ppg, 4.5rpg and .867 from the free throw line (which was tied 19th in the NBA) He also has some postseason experience playing 10 games as a professional averaging 9.5 ppg and 4.5 rpg.

Orlando Magic still need to look for a back-up Center now that it looks like General Manager Otis Smith will not match the offer from the Mav's for Restricted Free agent Marcin Gortat.
