Over the past six months, we have wondered exactly how Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez felt about the New York Jets' trade for polarizing quarterback Tim Tebow. Over the past few days, we have begun to get some answers, or at least some insight.

When asked about owner Woody Johnson's comments that you can "never have too much Tebow," Sanchez quipped (according to the Daily News of New York) that the owner was just "selling seats, man."

We learned from wide receiver Santonio Holmes (via ESPN) that Sanchez's initial reaction to the trade was to say, "Wow, how did this happen?"

None of this is to say that Sanchez thinks the trade was entirely to sell seats, but it is fair to wonder what the primary motivating factor was behind the trade.

Sanchez has been inconsistent throughout his first three years in the league, so solidifying the backup quarterback position may have been a wise move, but not at the expense of bolstering the offense with a formidable right tackle or equipping Sanchez with weapons at the skill positions. We know the Jets defensive backfield agrees on that much.
