WWE Legend Steve Austin Challenges Tim Tebow
After defeating Jake 'The Snake' Roberts to become WWE's King of the Ring in 1996, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin gave a speech that would reverberate throughout the sports-entertainment industry for years to come.
"You sit there and you thump your Bible, and you say your prayers, and it didn't get you anywhere! Talk about your psalms, talk about John 3:16... Austin 3:16 says I just whipped your ass!"
When speaking to TMZ Monday night, Austin reaffirmed that "Austin 3:16 still rules," then offered a challenge to Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"If Tebow can throw for 316 yards again this weekend then hell, he can have the numbers and I'll have no problem with it."
This was, of course, in reference to the Broncos playoff victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday, a game in which Tebow threw for 316 yards on 31.6 yards per pass completion. It was a statistical anomaly of spiritual proportions for Tebow, a devout Christian who often wrote "John 3:16" in his eye black while playing college ball at Florida. The performance reignited discussion about Tebow's religious beliefs and has fueled a surge in "316" related web searches.
Don't expect Tebow to fall prey to any Stone Cold Stunners however, as the WWE Hall of Famer had nothing but kind words for the Broncos' signal caller. "A guy named John was using it before me ... so if Tebow can do it again, more power to him!" said Austin, before adding, "I wish him all the luck in the world, I'm not a Denver fan but Tim's a great role model for kids."
Tebow and the Broncos will face Tom Brady and the top-seeded New England Patriots this Saturday.
