"For the 18th year, Power Slam magazine presents The PS 50, which ranks the 50 best-performing wrestlers in the industry. Rankings in The PS 50 are based on grapplers' in-ring showings over a 12-month period (December 1, 2010 through November 30, 2011).
2. Randy Orton
6. Christian
8. CM Punk
23. Rey Mysterio
25. Sheamus
38. Dolph Ziggler
39. Daniel Bryan
41. Alberto Del Rio
45. Kofi Kingston
48. The Miz
49. John Morrison
"
After this year, CM Punk should have been the top-ranked WWE superstar, with great matches throughout the year from his matches with Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Alberto Del Rio and of course John Cena at Money in the Bank and SummerSlam.
The Viper could have just been knocked down just one level on this list after a solid 2011 as World Heavyweight Champion with matches against the aforementioned Punk and Christian throughout the summer.
Following Punk and Orton on the list, the selections of Rey Mysterio and Sheamus were solid, as the two superstars had great matches throughout the year along with winning the WWE and United States Championship in 2011, respectively.
Dolph Ziggler and Daniel Bryan, numbers 38 and 39, will be much higher this time next year, as the two superstars have the making of being top main event stars for the WWE after a great 2011 with the company.
Even though the gimmick of Alberto Del Rio is becoming a little boring and stale, the Mexican Aristocrat should have been a little higher as he won the Royal Rumble, the Raw Money in the Bank and the WWE title on two separate occasions.
The remaining three superstars on the list—Kofi Kingston, the Miz and John Morrison—have room to grow into big superstars in the WWE, as Miz is continually in the WWE title chase, while Kingston is trying to revive the tag team division with Evan Bourne.
John Morrison will have to become a big superstar in some other promotion in the future after not re-signing with the WWE.
To the delight of the fans and Bleacher Report readers, John Cena is nowhere to be seen in the WWE portion of the Power Slam 50 this year.
So Bleachers, do you think Randy Orton was the top superstar from the WWE this year, or should some other superstar been the top wrestler in 2011?
