Andre Johnson Injury: Updates on Texans WR's Week 16 Status and Fantasy Value
If you used a high first- or second-round draft pick on Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson, then you have been very disappointed this year with his injuries.
Johnson has been dealing with hamstring injuries since he went down in the middle of the Texans’ game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4. Johnson missed six games during that first hamstring injury.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
John McClain of the Houston Chronicle says that Johnson should play in the Texans' January 1st matchup with Tennessee.
This will be the first postseason of his career and he'll want to come in as ready as possible after missing nine games this season.

Bad news for Johnson owners. According to the Texans' official Twitter page, coach Gary Kubiak says the star wide receiver will not be able to go this week against Indianapolis.
The playoff-bound Texans can ill-afford to have their best player at less than 100% when the postseason rolls around, but this loss is no consolation for fantasy owners who have made the playoffs and are counting on Johnson to deliver this week.
Now the talented wide receiver has missed Houston’s last two games against Cincinnati and Carolina with another hamstring injury.
That brings the total of missed games this year to eight between the two hamstring injuries.
With Johnson only playing in four complete games, he has been a major disappointment to his owners who may have drafted him high.
If Johnson is practicing this week, he could be a great fantasy option to have against the Indianapolis Colts.
However, the Texans may shut down their superstar receiver for their final two games of the season to save him for their first ever playoff game in three-to-four weeks. With their division locked up, and the Texans already owning victories over the Titans and the Colts, it wouldn’t make any sense for the Texans to risk further damaging Johnson’s hamstring.
If I had Johnson on my team, I would sit him this week.
By now, you probably have found a replacement for Johnson on your team. You should continue to leave Johnson on your bench, while continuing to start whomever you have been using as a replacement.
He isn’t ruled out for this week, but it would be shocking if he suits up against the Colts on Thursday night.
