Petyon Manning: Colts Would Be Stupid to Let Star QB Play This Season
Peyton Manning is dead serious about playing this season, but the Colts would be stupid to let their superstar QB play in a real game.
This situation would be different if Indianapolis was anywhere near playoff contention. But at 0-13, it would be pointless to rush the four-time NFL MVP's recovery period. Plus, it's not like he suffered some routine injury. He's had multiple neck surgeries and had to go to Europe for stem cell treatment because it hasn't been approved in America yet.
Maybe it's just me, but if you have to leave the country to get medical treatment, you shouldn't be in a hurry to get tossed around by 300-pound men.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
It's uncertain if the Colts will even keep Manning beyond this season, as they have the opportunity to draft Andrew Luck and owe Manning a $28 million bonus before the start of next season.
But whatever they plan to do with Manning in the future, nothing good will come from letting him play this season. If they throw him out there and he gets hurt again, his trade value will plummet.
Manning is now wearing pads and throwing to receivers after practice, but the Colts shouldn't let him do anything more than that.
This whole situation is very delicate. Whenever you're dealing with your franchise player's future, you have to take every precaution.
If the Colts play Manning this season, only bad things can happen.
