NFL Picks Week 15: Last-Second Predictions for All of Sunday's Early Games
There are eight early games on the Week 15 NFL schedule and some very exciting matchups that will affect the playoff picture as well as fantasy football leagues everywhere.
One of the early games will have the Green Bay Packers traveling to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the Kansas City Chiefs. The defending Super Bowl champs will look to improve their record to 14-0.
That is just one of the exciting early games on Sunday. Let's look at some last-second predictions for each early game in Week 15.
Carolina Panthers at Houston Texans
1 of 8Even though the Houston Texans wrapped up a playoff spot last week, they are still fighting for home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs with the Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots.
The Texans offense, led by third-string quarterback TJ Yates, has scored no more than 20 points the past three weeks, but the exceptional play of the defense has won them games.
Against the 4-9 Carolina Panthers and rookie quarterback Cam Newton, the Texans pass defense will be the difference in this game. Newton has thrown 16 interceptions this season, which is good news for a Texans secondary that does well to create turnovers.
Houston wins this game comfortably.
Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills
2 of 8The Miami Dolphins are a better team than their 4-9 record would indicate, and after an 0-7 start to the season, they have gone 4-2.
The Buffalo Bills started the season 3-0 but have really gone downhill since and when running back Fred Jackson was lost for the season due to injury, the Bills' chances of making the playoffs were over.
Miami will win this game with a balanced offensive attack boosted by running back Reggie Bush, who will excel against a Bills defense that allows 130 rushing yards per game.
Seattle Seahawks at Chicago Bears
3 of 8Marshawn Lynch has led the Seattle Seahawks close to .500 as they travel to Soldier Field to take on the struggling Chicago Bears in Week 15.
The Seahawks have won four of their last five games and have scored at least 30 points the past two weeks, both wins.
The Bears defense has not played too well recently and with Lynch and Seahawks running game kicking into high gear the last few weeks, I smell an upset brewing in the Windy City.
The Bears offense is really struggling right now and has just 13 points combined in the past two weeks, both losses.
Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts
4 of 8The Indianapolis Colts are a disgrace to the NFL, and their 0-13 record has shown they are the worst team in history.
They have played with no passion or intensity and just look uninterested. They are going to have the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft and they seem perfectly fine with that.
The Tennessee Titans come into this game with a strong rushing attack averaging a bit over 120 yards per game, and the Colts cannot stop the run at all, allowing 144 rushing yards per game.
Expect Titans star running back Chris Johnson to carry his team and your fantasy team to victory on Sunday.
Green Bay Packers at Kansas City Chiefs
5 of 8The undefeated Green Bay Packers will have little trouble defeating the injury-battered Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is the MVP of the NFL thus far and will have an amazing day against the Chiefs defense.
The Chiefs run defense also allows over 130 yards on the ground per game, so look for the Packers to try and establish some success with the running game as the playoffs near.
The Packers want to make history. They will take another step closer to a perfect season with a win against the Chiefs in Week 15.
New Orleans Saints at Minnesota Vikings
6 of 8The New Orleans Saints are 10-3 and a legitimate Super Bowl contender that no one is giving enough attention to.
Saints quarterback Drew Brees is well on his way to breaking the single-season record for passing yards held by Dan Marino. Against the terrible Minnesota Vikings pass defense, he will take another step closer to that accomplishment.
The Vikings allow just under 250 yards passing per game and have no playmaking guys in the secondary to stop the Saints wide receivers from being successful on Sunday.
Minnesota is 2-11 this season and have no chance of beating a Saints team that will score at least 35 points in this game. That will be too much for Vikings rookie quarterback Christian Ponder to match.
Washington Redskins at New York Giants
7 of 8The New York Giants' win against the Dallas Cowboys last week saved their season, but they must beat the Washington Redskins to remain atop the NFC East division.
The Giants have played pretty well the past few weeks and came the closest to upsetting the Green Bay Packers' perfect season just a few weeks ago.
Giants quarterback Eli Manning has been spectacular in the fourth quarters of games this season, and against a Redskins defense that got destroyed by Patriots quarterback Tom Brady last week, Manning will lead the G-Men to victory in Week 15.
Cincinnati Bengals at St. Louis Rams
8 of 8The Cincinnati Bengals are still fighting for a playoff spot and they will easily beat a struggling St. Louis Rams team on the road in Week 15.
The Rams allow about 150 yards rushing per game, so expect the Bengals running back duo of Cedric Benson and Bernard Scott to play well on Sunday.
Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton and wide receiver AJ Green will have a good day as well, because the Rams secondary has very little talent and no playmakers to stop the explosive rookie WR.
The Rams allow 25 points per game this season. The Bengals will add to their defensive miseries with an important win this week.
