Save Peyton Manning Campaign Is Colts Fans' Ignorance of Andrew Luck
Andrew Luck is the future of the quarterback position in the NFL. Any team that has a chance to draft him says thank you and then starts to build around him—even if that team is Peyton Manning's Indianapolis Colts.
That is a reality that is going to be hard for some Colts fans to accept. In fact, some fans are already being proactive in their efforts to bring Manning back. Check out this grass roots T-shirt campaign to save Peyton Manning.
Any fan that is backing this sentiment clearly isn't cognizant of what they would be missing in Luck.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Luck Is the Future
Andrew Luck is the consensus No. 1 overall pick for a reason. He has all the tools you look for in a QB.
He has the size at 6'4" and 235 pounds.
He has the arm.
Luck has a flawless throwing motion, the arm strength to easily make any NFL throw, and he has impeccable accuracy.
Luck has the head.
The Stanford QB has been playing in a pro system. He is required to read defenses and go through progressions, and he has done so with speed and success. Luck has been groomed for the NFL game, and he has proven he can handle the style of play he will face on the next level.
He also has the legs.
Andrew Luck is never going to be a run first QB. This is the weakest part of his skill set, but he can still move a little bit. Luck is a tremendous athlete. He has decent escapability, and he can pick up yards with his feet when he has to.
There are no red flags with Luck.
He has never had an attitude problem. There are no questions of injury. There are no off-the-field problems, and there are no concerns that he will have to switch from a college to a pro system.
You can check out his highlights if there are any lingering doubts.
Why It's Better to Be Lucky Than Manning
Manning is nearing the end of the line. He will be 36 at the start of next season.
Even if Manning is completely recovered from having his neck fused—which is a legitimate question mark—he has two years before Andrew Luck becomes a better QB on the field.
That is simply not a big enough window to make holding onto Manning a worthy option over selecting Luck. Even with Manning back, the Colts have shown in this win-less season that they are far from Super Bowl caliber.
It's time to start planning on the future. It is time to acquire Luck.
