Week 14 Start Em Sit Em: Dez Bryant and Fantasy Football WRs to Feature

Josh MartinDec 10, 2011

Yes, Jim Mora, it's time for the playoffs.

Fantasy football playoffs, that is. If you're still looking to shore up your receiving corps, you'd be wise to reserve a gander or two for these three pass catchers, all of whom are bound to make a dent in the stat sheet in Week 14 of the 2011 NFL season.

Dez Bryant

Injuries to Miles Austin and Laurent Robinson have decimated the Cowboys' crop of wideouts, though Dez Bryant owners can hardly complain. He'll be the obvious benefactor of the added attention from Tony Romo when the New York Giants come to Dallas on Sunday.

Bryant torched the G-Men for 158 yards and three touchdowns in two games last season and just so happens to be on a bit of hot streak right now, having notched a touchdown in three of his last four games.

Torrey Smith

Feast or famine for Torrey Smith this weekend? I say feast, and not solely on a whim.

Smith and the Ravens are next in line to whip up on the winless Colts, who've surrendered 21 receiving touchdowns this season, tied for the sixth-most surrendered by any team in the NFL this season.

Joe Flacco figures to take some shots downfield like he did in a 37-7 shellacking of the Rams in Week 3.

And who, pray tell, was on the receiving end of Flacco's bombs in that game? Why, Torrey Smith, of course, to the tune of 152 yards and three touchdowns.

Hmmm...let's see. The Chiefs' red-zone defense stinks. Plaxico Burress has emerged as Mark Sanchez's favorite red-zone target.

Put two and two together—what a fine lookin' fantasy play!

New York's offense has been on a roll of late, scoring 62 points over its last two games. Look for that productivity to continue on Sunday against KC, with Burress boosting your fantasy team through the playoffs as a result.
