Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
1) More Mark Ingram
Mark Ingram has looked great so far. With Suh out on suspension, there is an obvious void in the middle of the defensive line for the Lions.
The Saints need to attack the Lions defensive line and wear them down throughout the game. Expect Ingram to find more and more room as the game progresses.
2) Have a Balanced Offense
It will be key in the second half for the Saints to continue to have a balanced offense. The Saints need to make sure to not abandon the run.
Keeping a balanced offense will make play action more effective and will keep the Lions defense on their heels.
3) Find a Way to Stop Fairley
Nick Fairley had a great first half replacing Suh for the Lions. He has created a lot of pressure and is disrupting the Saints offense.
New Orleans needs to consider double teaming him, to open up running lanes and give Drew Brees time to find the receivers downfield.
4) Convert Third Downs
The Saints have been doing a good job getting manageable third downs, but have not had a lot of success converting those opportunities.
New Orleans needs to mix up their play-calling on third down and try to get easy conversions.
5) Keep Attacking Deep
Drew Brees had some success going deep and this will be a key to the second half. Brees needs to keep taking shots against the Lions secondary.
Expect more huge gains on deep routes from the Saints.
