Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Manning, who is 11-20 for 179 yards, one touchdown and an interception, hit Travis Backum for a 67-yard touchdown on the opening drive for the Giants. Manning has already connected with six different receivers, including Victor Cruz, who has five receptions for 85 yards.
With Ahmad Bradshaw back, the Giants have been able to run the ball effectively with Bradshaw rushing for 27 yards on seven carries and Brandon Jacobs 26 yards and a touchdown on three carries.
It's nice to see the Giants firing the ball downfield on a subpar Packers defense. Lately, the Giants have been running the ball in obvious passing situations, which has contributed to their three game losing streak.
The Giants defense has been able to hold Aaron Rodgers somewhat in check thus far. Rodgers was 11-20 for 144 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the first half.
While he did throw two touchdowns (to Donald Driver and Jermichael Finley), Rodgers and the Green Bay offense hasn't got it going yet. Chase Blackburn was able to intercept Rodgers and the Packers running game has only 46 yards.
Justin Tuck recorded a sack of Rodgers in the first half, and the New York defense has played well against the passing attack.
The two Giants' turnovers each came at the hands of Clay Matthews. Matthews intercepted Manning the second quarter and took it to the house for a TD, and then stripped Manning from behind late in the second quarter, giving the ball back to Green Bay.
The Giants are only down by four heading into the half and will ride the momentum of the Packers' missed field goal into the second half.
