Matt Forte Injury: Chicago Bears Can Kiss Season Goodbye If Forte Misses Time
The Chicago Bears might as well put this season in the books.
According to CBS Sports, Bears running back Matt Forte has just gone down to injury in their Week 13 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. After his spikes got caught in the grass, Forte hurt his right knee and he will reportedly not return to the game today.
Forte is arguably the most skilled player the Bears feature on offense, with 985 yards and three touchdowns on the season for the team.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Although he has struggled lately, Forte has put together four 100-yard performances this season, including a 201-yard game.
Even if Forte is able to recover and play as soon as next week, the Bears have one of two games they could easily lose before the end of the season.
With a 7-4 record and no shot at winning the division, the Bears must fight off the Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons and New York Giants in the wild-card race.
The Bears have now lost Jay Cutler to injury for the rest of the season and may have lost Forte. A team that looked red hot midway through the season, winning five straight games, is on the verge of having injury keep them out of the postseason.
Even if Forte is to make a return, there will be all the more pressure on the injured back to carry his team to victory offensively with Cutler out. Expect defenses to bring added pressure against the run and allow quarterback Caleb Hanie to try and beat them deep.
Not to mention, three of the four teams remaining on the schedule are all top-notch teams against the run. Green Bay ranks No. 13, Seattle is No. 12 and Minnesota ranks No. 9.
Life won't be easy for Forte even if he is to return to action. Expect these Bears to find themselves on the way out of the playoff picture soon enough if Forte is not on the field.
