WWE Tables, Ladders & Chairs: Why Isn't Big Show vs. Mark Henry a TLC Match?
The otherwise sleep-inducing rivalry between the Big Show and Mark Henry on paper has somehow managed to captivate the awe and fervor of the WWE Universe.
The feud has evolved into the proverbial Clash of the Titans, a depiction that once upon a time seemed to be nothing more than an empty tagline used by the promotional hype machine of the WWE.
Following a better-than-it-should-have-been match at Money in the Bank, the Big Show literally returned with a bang months later when he took on Mark Henry in a match that ended only when the ring collapsed.

With house money-like momentum behind the two, Henry and Big Show withstood a rough opening and put together another entertaining match at WWE Survivor Series. The match saw the Big Show deliver a flying elbow from the top rope in Madison Square Garden.
The last contest between Henry and Big Show at Survivor Series ended when Henry cowardly delivered a low blow to the Big Show, forcing a disqualification loss and thereby allowing Henry to retain his World Championship.
With Henry showing an uncharacteristic proclivity towards taking a DQ finish, the only possible alternative for what looks to be the final chapter in an titanic feud is to feature Henry and Big Show in the very match in which the WWE's upcoming pay-per-view is named after.
Not quite.
Instead of adding some variation of a no disqualification stipulation to their pending showdown, thereby guaranteeing that there must be a winner, the Big Show and Mark Henry's ultimate clash at the upcoming Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view is currently being advertised as a simple singles match.
This is a perplexing announcement at best, as the WWE is presented with the rare opportunity to finally promote a gimmick match on a gimmick pay-per-view that makes sense, as opposed to doing it simply to satisfy the nomenclature of its gimmick pay-per-view.
Mark Henry and Big Show in an advertised TLC match would be as intriguing of a match as the WWE can promote for their otherwise struggling pay-per-view franchise.
After seeing a broken ring and a Big Show flying elbow, just the thought alone of what these two could have in store with the addition of tables, ladders and chairs would be worth checking out.
Should the advertised, deflating announcement hold up, the WWE would be showing a major hole in its booking strategy with this feud, as Mark Henry would once again have free reign to get himself disqualified per the storylines.
Then what?
Nine times out of 10, following a DQ finish to a world title match, a no disqualification stipulation is added to the rematch, thereby guaranteeing fans that their hard-earned dollars and illegal pay-per-view streaming abilities will not be subject to a cheap finish.
Hopefully the announced singles match for the heavyweight championship is simply preliminary, and the WWE comes to its senses to make the final chapter in this Clash of the Titans more meaningful through the booking of a TLC match with the World Championship opportunistically hanging in the balance.
