Top 5 WWE Superstars I Am Thankful for in 2011
The WWE has had a great year. The ups and downs of the past 11 months have been amazing to watch. It really makes you think about one year ago to now.
As most, I will be spending my Thanksgiving today eating turkey and watching my Green Bay Packers play football. As for what I am thankful for? Well, let's dive into the top five WWE Superstars I am thankful for in 2011.
5. Sin Cara
1 of 5Sin Cara has had a very interesting year with the WWE. Most of it has been bad, but I have enjoyed his run (so far).
The vignettes for his arrival were some of the best I have ever seen. His debut after WrestleMania 27 was great. His feud with Chavo Guerrero in the spring was fun, and I even loved watching his entrance.
Whether you love him or not, he was something "different." He brought a certain "spark" to the company in 2011, and I am very thankful for a new masked star in the WWE.
4. John Cena
2 of 5This man is money. While most are (still) predicting a heel turn every other week (for the past five years), I am too busy recognizing his greatness in front of my very eyes.
I just think people have taken him for granted. He is the top man in the entire industry, and that is not going to change anytime soon. I am very thankful for his time in the WWE, and his match against The Rock (who is not full-time, so he did not qualify for this list) next year will be epic!
3.CM Punk
3 of 5CM Punk has had a wonderful year.
His feud with Randy Orton to begin 2011 was great. He (rightfully) lost to him on back-to-back PPV shows, but his future with the WWE was made very apparent during the summer.
I am not one for "star ratings" on matches, but his match with John Cena at Money in the Bank was easily five stars. It was one of the greatest matches I ever saw, and for that alone, I am very thankful.
Right now, the sky is the limit. The man is the WWE Champion, and I suspect he will run with the gold until WrestleMania 28 in Miami...
2. Randy Orton
4 of 5From January to November, this performer may be the best all year. He deserves a huge amount of credit for the great landscape of the WWE (SmackDown especially) right now.
He started out the year beating Punk. He had a great series of matches with Christian, where he (rightfully) left the feud with the World title, and now he is putting over many talents on the Blue Brand. All the while, he is having amazing, quality matches!
From making Mark Henry look like a monster, to making Cody Rhodes look like he belongs, to losing to Wade Barrett at WWE Survivor Series, I am very thankful for Randy Orton doing what is best for business—whether it benefits him or not.
1. Mark Henry
5 of 5Who believed in this man earlier this year?
Who drove his bandwagon from the beginning?
Well, I certainly did for starters. I can't seem to remember anybody else joining me. Everybody was too busy trying to "fanasty book" John Morrison to the top of WWE, while ignoring his inevitable departure. I begged. I pleaded. I tried my best...
Oh well, I know I am very thankful for Mark Henry. He is the current World Champion. He is the best man on WWE TV today and he continues to dominate the entire roster.
The best part about it is that his reign of terror is only just beginning. Mark Henry is NEVER, ever losing the World title!
