Kyle Orton Chiefs: Kansas City Lands Former Broncos QB
Well, so much for all that return to Chicago talk. Kyle Orton didn't even make it out of the AFC West. The Kansas City Chiefs snatched the veteran QB from waivers today,
Orton was released from the Denver Broncos yesterday and immediately speculation began to swirl around his return to the Chicago Bears, though it was always mentioned that Kansas City also had a need for his services.
Like Chicago, the Chiefs have also lost their starting QB, but this may actually be a better situation for Orton. Matt Cassel does not have the same hold on his starting position that Jay Cutler has in Chicago.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
While Orton would have been a rental at best for Chicago, he may have an opportunity to overtake Tyler Palko, and if successful, get a shot at the job for a longer stint.
Palko didn't look terrible in his only start from a yardage standpoint, but the team was blown away by the Patriots, only managing three points.
That overall offensive output had to play a part in the Chiefs making such a quick decision to go out and claim Orton.
In case you're wondering, circle these dates: Dec. 1, the Chiefs go to Soldier Field to take on the Bears and on New Year's Day, the Chiefs travel to Invesco Field to battle Orton's most recent team, the Broncos.
I'm willing to bet, he may be under center for both of those contests.
