WWE '12: Chris Jericho and Superstars We Wish Were Included in New Video Game
Thanks to the inclusion of the vast majority of the current WWE roster and a wide array of legends, THQ did a fantastic job with the roster for WWE '12. Even so, there are always going to be a few omissions that irk fans to some degree.
Enhancement talent like Curt Hawkins and Trent Barreta didn't make the cut, but that isn't likely to infuriate too many gamers. No matter how well THQ did, however, there is always the possibility that the company could have done better by adding some different characters.
It is certainly true that any past or present superstar that didn't make the cut can be created using the game's solid create-a-wrestler mode, but it simply isn't the same. Here are a few wrestlers that could have enhanced the enjoyment of WWE '12 even more had they been included.

Bret Hart
Included in WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2011 as an exclusive downloadable character, Bret "Hitman" Hart wasn't so lucky this time around. Hart hasn't had as much involvement with the WWE recently as he had in the previous couple years, but he is clearly on good terms with the company and makes occasional appearances.
Not only is Hart a favorite of basically any fan that started watching in the Attitude Era or the years preceding it, but there are tons of superstars in the game who would mesh well with Hart. Shawn Michaels, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Vince McMahon, Kevin Nash and Jerry "The King" Lawler are among the many wrestlers in the game who have feuded with Hart in the past.
Leaving Hart out of the game isn't exactly a deal breaker, but he would have fit in extremely well with the other superstars of his era that were included. There would have been tons of possibilities in the game involving the "Excellence of Execution" but gamers will have to rely on create-a-wrestler instead.
The Usos
One of the few omissions from the present day roster that may irk some WWE fans is the team of Jimmy and Jey, The Usos. While The Usos haven't been used quite as regularly over the past few months, they grew quite a bit in popularity over the summer after turning face.
The Usos were regularly winning matches on Superstars and even SmackDown and scored non-title victories over then Tag Team Champions David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty. While The Usos were never able to wrest the titles from the boring pairing of former Nexus members, they seemed like they were on track to become champions at some point.
That momentum has disappeared, but with so few legitimate tag teams in the WWE right now, The Usos should have been a no-brainer inclusion. Not only would it have beefed up the tag-team division in the game, but it would have given a couple talented workers their first video game appearances.
CM Punk may proclaim to be the best in the world, but former WWE star Chris Jericho has long been the best in the world at what he does. Jericho has been away from the company for well over a year as he has been touring with his band Fozzy, but Jericho is and always will be synonymous with professional wrestling.
Jericho has stated recently that he may never return to wrestling, but Jericho tends to say controversial things as a way of getting noticed. Even so, he doesn't seem to be in a hurry to return to the ring, and the reason for his omission may have been a failure by THQ to reach an agreement with him.
There is no question that Jericho is still a favorite of many, and it will be odd to play a WWE video game without Jericho who has been a fixture for so long. Just like in real life, his in-game character was always capable of putting on a five-star match with anyone. Hopefully Y2J makes a quick return to the WWE video game series, as well as the company itself.
