Chiefs vs. Patriots: Despite Slow Start, New England Takes Care of Kansas City
Entering halftime after a shaky first two quarters and with only a 10-3 lead, the New England Patriots made several adjustments and came out and played a solid brand of football, beating the Kansas City Chiefs 34-3.
Tom Brady and New England's offense started off sluggish but simply turned it on in the second half with two touchdowns, a field goal as well as a stellar punt return for a touchdown courtesy of Julian Edelman.
Brady finished Monday's game completing only 15 of his 27 passes while accumulating 234 yards while tossing two touchdowns.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Kansas City was determined to make Brady's night a long one. Prior to the third quarter, it appeared that it was going to be, as the Chiefs had tallied up three sacks—which is a bit alarming considering that KC had only nine sacks entering Monday's game. In the second half, it was a whole new story as New England's offensive line stepped it up and did not allow another sack.
New England's defense flourished against Tyler Palko, who was making his first ever NFL start. The 28-year-old completed 25 of his 38 passes for 236 yards but was intercepted three times—two by Kyle Arrington who leads the NFL with seven interceptions.
It's certainly good to know that the Patriots blew out an inferior opponent while restricting them to only three points. However there, the win was far from perfect.
The Patriots may have improved to 7-3 but certainly have a lot of work to do:
- Complete more passes
- Protect Tom Brady better
- Avoid sluggish first-half starts
Assuming that the Patriots will take care of those areas this week with a much-deserved break for Thanksgiving, the team needs to prepare well as they'll face a very talented Philadelphia Eagles team next weekend in a hostile environment—the City of Brotherly Love.
