Matt Hasselbeck Injury: Updates on Titans Star's Week 12 Status & Fantasy Value
When the Tennessee Titans signed Matt Hasselbeck prior to the season, the common consensus was that it was a good move if he could stay healthy. It took 11 weeks, but the injury bug finally bit the quarterback.
Hasselbeck was knocked out of the game with a sprained elbow in the third quarter, and rookie quarterback Jake Locker led the team on two touchdown drives after stepping in.
We will have the latest news and information on Hasselbeck's status for Week 12, so check back to this page throughout the week for updates as they become available.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
UPDATE: Sunday, Nov. 27 at 11:45 a.m. EDT
Hasselbeck has said that his elbow injury would not be enough to keep him out of this week's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and it would appear that he was not just blowing smoke.
According to Titans beat writer John Glennon, Hasselbeck is not on the inactive list for the game.
The Buccaneers have not been good at stopping the pass, so Hasselbeck has to be salivating at the opportunity to attack them. The Titans have playoff hopes, so they need him to be in the lineup because he gives them the best chance to win.
It would appear that Hasselbeck will be out there when the game starts in just over an hour.

Even with Locker's success in that game, head coach Mike Munchak insists that Hasselbeck is the Titans' starting quarterback when he is healthy.
From Titans beat reporter Jim Wyatt:
The good news is that Hasselbeck might not have to wait too long to get back on the field. According to The Tennessean, the team does not believe that the injury is serious, and he should be ready to play this week pending the results of more tests on Monday.
"Early indications are Hasselbeck’s injury isn’t serious. The Titans called it a sprained right elbow although doctors were also examining the possibility he suffered a strained flexor muscle in his forearm.
Whatever the injury, it prevented Hasselbeck from re-entering the game after he was hit in the third quarter while throwing a pass. He said it was “really a doctor’s decision, not my decision” for him to stay on the bench.
"
For now, the plan appears to be for Hasselbeck to be under center when the Titans host the Buccaneers in Week 12.
