Vince Young: Quick Breakdown of the QB and the Eagles' Victory over the Giants
Week by week, the NFL proves to be unpredictable.
In a game in which I thought LeSean McCoy would need at least 28 carries for the Philadelphia Eagles to win, Vince Young proved that he was the key. With the game tied at 10, after Eli Manning drove down the field for a touchdown, Young went on an 18-play drive that lasted nearly nine minutes and converted on six consecutive third downs.
We've seen LeSean McCoy ice games in the four-minute drill on many occasions. What made this drive so amazing was that Young was responsible for moving the ball himself.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He converted third downs of 10, three, one, four and eight yards—the last one for a touchdown to Riley Cooper.
Sure, Young threw three interceptions. However, he still deserves credit. He got it done when it counted.
With the possibility of a blowing a sixth fourth-quarter lead looming, Young looked calm as he drove down the field. He converted seven of nine passes for 67 yards and found six different receivers on the game-winning touchdown drive.
On Young’s three final third-down conversions, he first drove the pile with his legs after getting initially stopped on a third-and-one QB sneak. He then hit Clay Harbor for six yards with a defender ready to take his head off. Finally, his last pass resulted in a victory.
Young threw 36 times. Andy Reid and Marty Mornhinweg cleverly slowed the Giants' fierce pass-rush by mixing in heavy doses of play-action, halfback draws and short screen passes.
When Young went deep, it was often to DeSean Jackson after he had already beaten his man. He also threw some jump balls to Riley Cooper. His throws were all relatively safe, with dump-off options available.
The Eagles defense played tremendously and afforded the offense all of their mistakes; however, with the game on the line, Young proved to be brilliant once again.
In a season where two completions can buy a team victory, who's to say this is strange?
