WWE Survivor Series Results: Dolph Ziggler Shows Greatness vs. John Morrison
It can't be easy to wrestle a match in front of a huge Madison Square Garden audience when the crowd is chanting for somebody who isn't even involved. Dolph Ziggler made the best of that exact scenario Sunday night at Survivor Series.
Ziggler defended his United States Championship against John Morrison, but the crowd was more worried about Zack Ryder. Several gigantic “We want Ryder!” chants were heard loud and clear throughout the match.
Instead of attempting to ignore them, Ziggler fed off the crowd. He told them to shut up and even mocked the Long Island Iced Z's fist pump outside of the ring.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Ziggler has carried on a feud with Ryder both in the ring and on Twitter in recent months and has portrayed his heel role to perfection. He knows he can't match Ryder's ever-growing popularity, so he uses it to generate more heat on himself.
One of the biggest criticisms against Ziggler has been his alliance with Vickie Guerrero. Her job is simple–draw a crowd reaction. She's around to help heels like Ziggler and Jack Swagger become hated figures.
In order to become a main event star, he'll eventually have to convince the WWE that he can survive on his own. Survivor Series was a step in the right direction.
Aside from crowd reaction, it's hard to find many flaws in Ziggler. He sells moves incredibly well and continues to diversify his move set, which is key to maintaining relevancy when your name isn't John Cena or Randy Orton.
Ryder is eventually going to take the title away because the company needs to find out exactly how big of a star he might become, but Ziggler's current reign has ensured that he'll continue to get television time even without a belt.
Ziggler loves to say “Follow that!” after his matches and that's becoming increasingly difficult for his fellow mid-card superstars.
