New York Jets vs. Denver Broncos: Rex Ryan's Defense Will End Tim Tebow Nonsense
Thursday night the New York Jets travel to Denver to take on Tim Tebow and the Broncos, and Rex Ryan's defense has to be relishing the challenge of facing the most hyped player in the NFL today.
Ryan's Jets will come into the game with a laser focus on stopping Denver's running game, which posted 244 yards on 55 carries in Week 10 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Still, even with that kind of output from the ground game, the Broncos only managed a 17-10 win.
Quarterback Tim Tebow only threw eight passes against the Chiefs, completing just two of them, one of which was a 56-yard touchdown to receiver Eric Decker. Most of Tebow's other passes were wobbly, completely inaccurate or under-thrown.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
With Knowshon Moreno out for the season with a torn ACL and fellow running back Willis McGahee nursing an injured hamstring, the Jets have a lot less to worry about from Denver's running game. Meanwhile, with how bad Tebow has been throwing the ball over the past few weeks—he is completing just 44.8 percent of his passes this season—cornerbacks Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie will likely be left on an island in man coverage.
That leaves the Jets entire front seven to be focused on Tebow, running back Lance Ball and whoever else might possibly take a hand off or shovel pass in the backfield. With the talent level the Jets have on defense, that has to be a scary prospect for Broncos fans.
I'm sure Ryan—who has been the architect of several great defenses over the years—has a plan for how to stop Denver's ridiculous run-heavy attack, and I expect it to work.
While John Fox's run-heavy, Tebow-tailored offense may have worked against the Chiefs, it won't against the Jets. Ryan and Gang Green are too smart, too focused and too talented to be beaten by what is essentially a high school offense.
