Kansas State Player to Watch
QB Collin Klein: The junior quarterback has been the leader of this Kansas State offense this year. He has been solid, throwing 10 touchdowns and 1,500 yards.
Klein gets the second spot on our players to watch, as he leads this team in rushing as well.
On the year, the quarterback has rushed for a touchdown in every game but one. He also had a season-high five touchdowns last week.
WR Chris Harper: When Klein actually throws the ball, his favorite target is Harper. On the year, Harper leads the team in touchdowns with four.
Texas Player to Watch
QB David Ash: Ash has picked up this Texas Longhorns offense this year. He’s done well, as he has thrown three touchdowns and 898 yards.
RB Malcolm Brown: If Brown does play, he will be a force on the ground. Brown has averaged 4.8 yards per carry while scoring five times this year.
WR Mike Davis: Davis has been the leading receiver on the Longhorns offense. While he has not found the end zone more than once, he does lead the team in receiving yards with 521.
Key Matchup: Kansas State’s QB Collin Klein vs. the Texas Longhorns defense.
Klein has been dominating opposing defenses on the ground this year. He has scored a rushing touchdown in every game since Week 1, while adding on a passing touchdown here and there.
If Texas can stop Klein, it will pay off in the end.
Prediction
The Longhorns have had a difficult time scoring this year. In a game where they will have to play catch up, the Longhorns' lack of scoring will be their downfall.
Kansas State has an explosive offense led by Klein. It will be too much for Texas as the Wildcats win in a blow out.
