Week 10 Start 'Em Sit 'Em: Earl Bennett and 7 Receivers Who Are Must Start
The Chicago Bears' Earl Bennett is just one of the many receiver that fantasy managers everywhere should be starting.
There are a number of great receivers heading into tricky matchups this weekend. The New York Giants will be playing the San Francisco 49ers away.
Larry Fitzgerald and the Arizona Cardinals are traveling to Philadelphia to face the Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles.
There are a number of land mines that fantasy managers are going to want to avoid.
The following is a list of the seven wide receivers who are MUST starts in Week 10.
Earl Bennett
1 of 7Earl Bennett enjoyed a fantastic return from injury last Monday against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Bennett was targeted five times by Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. He caught all five of those passes and finished the game with 95 yards and a touchdown.
There's a lot to like about starting Earl Bennett. The Bears have now won three games in a row, and this weekend they'll be hosting their divisional rival Detroit Lions.
The Bears game this weekend is a must win. If they find a way to pull out a W, they will leapfrog the Lions in the NFC North and move up to second place.
The Bears are a hot team right now. Jay Cutler has been playing well, and he likes having Bennett as an option.
The two played together at Vanderbilt, and their history suggests that Bennett will get a steady number of targets.
Victor Cruz
2 of 7There's a lot to like about New York Giants receivers this weekend. The Giants are traveling to face the San Francisco 49ers.
The Niners boast the league's best rushing defense, allowing just 70.8 rushing yards per game to their opponents.
Eli Manning has been as any quarterback (that isn't named Aaron Rodgers) this season. He ranks in the top seven in the NFL in completion percentage, yards, touchdowns thrown and passer rating.
Victor Cruz appears to be Eli's favorite receiver. Although he is ranks below Hakeem Nicks in targets, Cruz ranks first in receiving yards and touchdowns.
Cruz is a gamble. However, he is a gamble that can pay off huge dividends. This weekend's game against the Niners will see him do just that.
Brandon Marshall
3 of 7Brandon Marshall and the Miami Dolphins are hosting the Washington Redskins on Sunday. The Redskins have the 11th best passing defense in the NFL.
The Miami Dolphins are a team on the up. Quarterback Matt Moore has been playing much better over the last couple of weeks, and Marshall has benefited.
The Dolphins are a team that has talent, and they are a team that should be winning more football games than they have been.
I believe that the Dolphins are rebounding, and they're going to put together a string of decent performances.
Marshall has the potential to lead this charge, and he is an option that all fantasy managers should be looking to start.
Dwayne Bowe
4 of 7Dwayne Bowe has seen decrease in production in recent weeks, but the Kansas City Chiefs receiver is a must start this week.
The Chiefs were embarrassed at home by the Miami Dolphins last week. This week the Chiefs are going to look to bounce back with a win over the Denver Broncos.
The Bronco's have allowed the third most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. Kansas City is going to want to prove that they are still a formidable opponent.
Bowe started the season in fantastic form. Seeing him and the Chiefs not come out strong would be a major shock.
Bowe has the potential to light up the Broncos. Make sure that he's not on your bench when he does so.
Anquan Boldin
5 of 7The Baltimore Ravens are as good as any other team in the AFC at the moment. They're fresh off of a win at Heinz Field over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
This week, the Ravens are playing the Seattle Seahawks in Seattle. Boldin has been Joe Flacco's favorite receiver this season.
Boldin has hauled in 41 receptions for a team high 697 yards. He has two touchdowns on the season as well, which makes him the Ravens most valuable fantasy receiver.
The Seattle Seahawks have allowed the 10th most points to fantasy wide receivers this season.
Even though Baltimore may be exhausted from the Steelers game, Boldin is still a must start.
Jeremy Maclin
6 of 7Jeremy Maclin has been the Philadelphia Eagles leading receiver so far this season. The former Missouri Tiger lead the team in both receptions and yards.
This is partially due to the poor performances of DeSean Jackson. Jackson, who is the Eagles first choice receiver, has been targeted just five fewer times than Maclin but has 15 fewer receptions.
The Eagles are hosting the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. The Cardinals have given up the sixth most fantasy points to wide receivers this season.
This is a must-win game for the Eagles. If they fail to come away with a victory they will no longer be in playoff contention.
Look for the Eagles to annihilate the Cardinals. This game has blow out written all over it, and Maclin is going to reap the rewards.
Julio Jones
7 of 7Julio Jones had quite a return from injury last week. The former Alabama receiver lit up Colts for 164 yards and two touchdowns.
Jones is a great pick also because of the poor form of Roddy White. White, who is the Falcons first choice wide receiver, has had an extremely poor year for his standards.
The Falcons are hosting the division rival New Orleans Saints.
The Saints have a streaky secondary, and if the the Falcons catch them on the right day, Jones has the potential for huge numbers.
Make sure that Jones isn't on the bench because after last week, he's too good to not be starting.
