Ravens vs. Seahawks: TV Schedule, Live Streaming, Radio, Game Time and More

Michael DixonNov 10, 2011

Two teams on the opposite end of the NFL spectrum will square off on Sunday when the Baltimore Ravens travel across the country to take on the Seattle Seahawks.

The Ravens (6-2) sit atop the AFC North, in a tie with the Bengals. The Seahawks (2-6) are tied for second place in the NFC West with the Arizona Cardinals. They are five games behind the San Francisco 49ers.

The two teams last met in 2007. The Seahawks won that meeting, also in Seattle, 27-6.

Betting Line

Ravens (-7), according to Bodog.

I like the Ravens at this number. While they have been inconsistent at times in recent weeks, the fact remains that they are a much better team than Seattle.

What's at Stake

For the Ravens, an awful lot is at stake. Despite sweeping the season series and owning the tiebreaker, they are only a half-game ahead of the Steelers in the AFC North. They are also tied with the Bengals. Those two teams play on Sunday, so the Ravens will need to keep pace with somebody.

For the Seahawks, very little is on the line. The 49ers have a stranglehold on the NFC West. They are the only team above .500 and it's not close.

Should they suffer a serious collapse, the Seahawks are fighting for position to be rewarded. But the 49ers have several easier games on their schedule. A significant collapse wouldn't be enough.

Ravens' Injury Report (Per ESPN)

No major injuries to report.

Seahawks' Injury Report (Per ESPN)

QB Tarvaris Jackson and WR Sidney Rice are probable.

Fantasy Start 'Em, Sit 'Em and Sleeper

Start 'Em: Ray Rice. He'll be the most productive fantasy player in this game. He's the best offensive player playing on Sunday. The Ravens will likely be ahead for most or all of the game, so look for a heavy use of him.

Sit 'Em: Sidney Rice. His yardage production has been strong when he's been on the field, but he's only scored once. As you can see above, he's likely going to play, but not worthy of being on your starting roster.

Sleeper: Torrey Smith. He's owned in only 40 percent of ESPN leagues and starting in just 15 percent of them. That's way too low. I expect a few big plays from him en route to a productive week.

What They're Saying

Aaron Wilson of Hometown Annapolis talked about Torrey Smith's performance vs. Pittsburgh on Sunday night and what that means for his future as a part of the Ravens' attack.

"

The resiliency, and the shaky hands, mirrored how his first NFL season has transpired through eight games.

In the first quarter, Smith allowed a deep throw from Flacco to sail through his hands before catching a 29-yarder on the ensuing play.

One quarter later, Smith dropped a routine out pass that could have given the Ravens a first down.

Now, Smith has proven again that he won't dwell on his miscues or allow his growing pains to hold his team back.

"

Ravens Player to Watch

QB Joe Flacco. Their defense is a known quantity. If the Ravens are going to lose this game, Flacco will need to have a terrible game.

I don't see that happening, but he's the man to watch.

Seahawks Player to Watch

RB Marshawn Lynch. Seattle will need to control the game from the line to have any chance in this game. To do that, Lynch must run effectively against a strong Baltimore defense.

On the Hot Seat

Both John Harbaugh and Pete Carroll should be safe. Even though they won the NFC West in 2010, the Seahawks were below .500 and appear to be well on their way to a sub .500 year this season.

If they don't make some progress down the stretch, it's not hard to imagine that Carroll will be under the gun in 2012, although I can't see how he won't make it to that season.

Prediction: Ravens 28, Seahawks 3

I could actually envision a game where the final isn't quite this lopsided, but there will be no doubt as to who the better team is when Sunday's game is over.

The Ravens will win and cover easily.
