Kevin Nash and Mick Foley's WWE Return Proves Hypocrisy Exists in the IWC
I have been a wrestling fan for over two decades. As a fan, I have witnessed some of the greatest wrestlers come and go. Some choose retirement, while others simply head for the next promotion that will sign them.
Under no circumstances do I feel that these men and women should be looked at poorly for leaving the WWE. Yes, it's the biggest wrestling promotion in the world. However, once you have held every title, main-evented WrestleMania and sent shockwaves down fans' backs, what's left?
Many of these entertainers still have bills to pay and families to feed, yet once they hit 40, fans tend to look at them as old and tired. This may be true about some, especially those that have put their bodies through more than any of us can imagine.

However, there are those select few that still have something to offer.
This is the case of Kevin Nash and Mick Foley.
Both men have reached the pinnacle of their careers in the WWE, and both decided they still had something left to give. So once they were released, they moved onto TNA/Impact Wrestling.
Nash arrived to TNA in 2004 and gave the company close to seven years of entertainment, while Foley arrived on the scene in 2009 and departed in 2011.
While these men where in TNA, they were considered by most fans to be washed up. Many fans spoke their opinions on how their TNA tenures were ridiculous and both men were too old to perform.
Enter 2011. Kevin Nash makes his return at WWE's Royal Rumble as his old character Diesel and gets one of the biggest crowd reactions of the night. Judging by that pop, you would think Nash hadn't wrestled in years, when in fact, he had partaken in dozens of TNA pay-per-views over the years. Granted, Nash has not been so well accepted by the fans of late, but that too can change.
Now onto Foley. He has been a focal point of late, as his intentions of returning to the WWE have been made very public. Turns out the "Hardcore Legend" returned to the WWE during their tour in Ireland. Foley was a special guest referee, and the fans once again marked out.
I to this day do not understand why fans cannot accept wrestlers for their decision to sign with TNA. This company has been around for almost a decade and has drawn some big names to their roster.
Yet, TNA is still looked at as second rate. Yes, they have had their share of financial and backstage problems, yet so has the WWE.
So fans, what I want to know is, what makes both of these signings by the WWE any better than TNA's decision to sign them years earlier?
